Graduation, whenever it is, is a really important moment because the student has invested a lot of time and money so it merits a special celebration.&#8221;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;At A*DESK we've also animated ourselves to organise one, given that this month of June we end a long and intense peregrination through the halls of the art world and curating. Ending a course of studies also represents a step towards the professional world, we've asked ourselves about this world that awaits us on the other side of graduating, we've given it a lot of thought and like all good students researched how they've done it at other schools.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;The projects we're presenting arose out of the joint efforts of the participants in the workshop Turn it Again, Sam!, that reflected on questions such as education and the professionalization of art.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;What rituals are necessary to become professional? In which spaces does this professionalization occur? What is the function of mediation and education in art? What is the function of camouflage and the infiltration into other camps? What effect do the trends in art practice have? &lt;p&gt;An exploration via 7 routes that traverse spaces in Barcelona, that form an introduction to contemporary art: the processes of art production, curating, the art market, museums, self-management, up and coming art, cultural policies, projects in public spaces. Artists and cultural producers will accompany us to different spaces allowing us to observe current practices in art, in all its different facets.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;These routes will be complemented with an exercise to record and document them, realised by the participants in the studio, the proposal being for the participants to generate a map that charts the state of art practices within the metropolitan area.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Course coordinator: Oriol Fontdevila, art critic and exhibition curator.
