La vida, la producci\u00f3 art\u00edstica i el treball en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 es converteixen en un recorregut poli\u00e8dric al voltant d&#8217;uns d&#8217;aquests fen\u00f2mens que, per la seva complexitat, mai van ser del gust de la tradici\u00f3 historicista i dominant a l&#8217;art i la cultura.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nTota aproximaci\u00f3 a la figura de Claude Cahun est\u00e0 marcada per d\u00e8cades de desconeixement. La invisibilitat del seu treball fins ben entrats els vuitanta fa que el tard\u00e0 reconeixement condueixi a una mena de mitificaci\u00f3 tant de la seva persona com de la seva vida i les seves produccions. Encara avan\u00e7ats i excepcionals per al seu temps, els treballs de Cahun es van inserir en un context concret. D&#8217;una banda, durant els anys vint i trenta, el camp psicoanal\u00edtic europeu es va veure engrescat pels debats sobre la sexualitat femenina. Al 1929, la psicoanalista anglesa Joan Rivi\u00e8re va pronunciar la seva ja c\u00e8lebre confer\u00e8ncia &#8220;La feminitat com mascarada&#8221;, on analitza per primera vegada la feminitat com a aparell performatiu i explora un nou tipus de dona que definir\u00e0 com intermedi\u00e0ria per manifestar trets del sexe oposat . Al 1929 estan datades nombroses fotografies en les quals Cahun aborda no nom\u00e9s la construcci\u00f3 de la identitat, sin\u00f3 la pr\u00f2pia m\u00e0scara com a objecte simb\u00f2lic de desconstrucci\u00f3 identit\u00e0ria. La m\u00e0scara, la disfressa, l&#8217;artifici: estrat\u00e8gies que exploren els l\u00edmits d&#8217;un cos que a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;elles es torna in-essencial.<\/p>\n<p>ontrovertides teories del qual sobre la sexualitat abordaven, entre molts assumptes, la possibilitat d&#8217;un tercer sexe. &#8220;Mascul\u00ed? \u00bfFemen\u00ed? Doncs dep\u00e8n del cas &#8230; El neutre \u00e9s l&#8217;\u00fanic g\u00e8nere que sempre m\u00b4encaixa &#8220;- escriu Cahun a &#8220;Aveux non avenus&#8221; (1930).<\/p>\n<p>La proximitat de l&#8217;artista al grup de surrealistes parisencs, documentada a les vitrines arxiv\u00edstiques que es despleguen a l&#8217;exposici\u00f3, \u00e9s un altre punt a tenir en compte. L&#8217;obra i la vida de Cahun s\u00f3n &#8220;excepcionals&#8221; tamb\u00e9 dins d&#8217;aquest context, per la seva condici\u00f3 de &#8220;dona&#8221; i lesbiana i per haver, realment, superat qualsevol divisi\u00f3 entre art i vida. No obstant aix\u00f2, altres autors, com Man Ray i especialment Marcel Duchamp, havien explorat la q\u00fcesti\u00f3 del transvestisme des de principis dels anys vint, de manera que les performances fotogr\u00e0fiques de Cahun s&#8217;insereixen tamb\u00e9 dins d&#8217;una certa tradici\u00f3 d&#8217;\u00e8poca.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;exposici\u00f3 mostra all\u00f2 que aqu\u00ed encara no havia estat mostrat. Ve del Jeu de Paume de Par\u00eds i ha estat comissariada per Juan Vicente Aliaga i Fran\u00e7ois Leperlier, bi\u00f2graf de Cahun i responsable en gran mesura d&#8217;obrir el cam\u00ed de la seva recuperaci\u00f3. Part de la mostra gira al voltant de la relaci\u00f3 que va mantenir amb Marcel Moore (pseud\u00f2nim de Suzanne Malherbe), la seva germanastra i amant durant tota la seva vida. Aquest vincle, tantes vegades obviat en els successius rescats del seu treball, apareixia ja a l&#8217;exposici\u00f3 que la Tate Modern li va dedicar al 2006, on se li atorgava bastant m\u00e9s rellev\u00e0ncia que aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/virreinacentredelaimatge.bcn.cat\/es\/claude-cahun\">La mostra de la Virreina<\/a> es completa amb un programa de converses i projeccions organitzat per &#8220;Screen from Barcelona&#8221;. La segona sessi\u00f3, &#8220;Autoretrat a quatre mans: performativitat afectiva&#8221;, es va centrar en la relaci\u00f3 Cahun-Moore a trav\u00e9s de la projecci\u00f3 del documental de Barbara Hammer &#8220;Love Other: The Story of Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore&#8221; (2006). Si es tracta d&#8217;un autoretrat a quatre mans, deixaria de ser un autoretrat per esdevenir un projecte en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3. Les biografies d&#8217;ambdues semblen suggerir que una autoria un\u00edvoca seria bastant dif\u00edcil d&#8217;establir. \u00bfCahun posa?, Moore la retrata?. Cahun escriu &#8220;Aveux non avenus&#8221;, ambdues realitzen els collages fotogr\u00e0fics que completen la publicaci\u00f3. L\u00b4any 1922 la parella s&#8217;instal\u00b7la a Par\u00eds, on romandran fins al 1937, any del seu trasllat a l&#8217;illa de Jersey. Sempre juntes, el projecte art\u00edstic-vital de les dues al\u00b7ludeix a una autoria compartida, o m\u00e9s encara, a una dissoluci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquesta. No obstant aix\u00f2, algunes relectures de la seva vida i la seva obra en clau de parella creadora corren el risc de caure en una exaltaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;amor rom\u00e0ntic que, per molt l\u00e8sbic que sigui, podria resultar reaccion\u00e0ria.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;exposici\u00f3 no deixa de ser un nou intent de recuperaci\u00f3 de la figura de Claude Cahun, a trav\u00e9s del plantejament de diverses relectures dels seus treballs interdisciplinaris. Per aix\u00f2, el material d&#8217;arxiu, com \u00e9s habitual en aquest tipus de mostra, ocupa un lloc important. Potser l&#8217;\u00e8xit m\u00e9s significatiu del projecte sigui el de no establir cap l\u00ednia divis\u00f2ria entre les pr\u00e0ctiques considerades art\u00edstiques i el recorregut vital de Cahun i tamb\u00e9 de Moore. Fotografies, dibuixos, collages i arxius estan impregnats de vida quotidiana. D&#8217;altra banda, l&#8217;exposici\u00f3, encara que completa i encertada en l&#8217;abordatge de les diversificades propostes de Cahun, no aporta molt m\u00e9s a all\u00f2 que en les \u00faltimes d\u00e8cades s&#8217;ha dit sobre ella. Tampoc \u00e9s f\u00e0cil.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9s interessant la part dedicada a la producci\u00f3 objectual, bastant menys coneguda que les fotoperformances. Les &#8220;combinacions d&#8217;objectes&#8221;, datades en la seva majoria a mitjans dels anys trenta, podrien emmarcar-se dins d&#8217;un surrealisme al qual l&#8217;artista va pert\u00e0nyer sense pert\u00e0nyer. Encara que va estar inserida en l&#8217;ambient art\u00edstic parisenc de l&#8217;\u00e8poca i va participar en alguna de les exposicions surrealistes, la seva figura va ser prou singular com per no ser inclosa en cap moviment concret. &#8220;&#8230; Em mantinc an\u00e0rquica&#8221;, escrivia a una carta a Bret\u00f3n datada el 1953.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>Criden tamb\u00e9 l&#8217;atenci\u00f3 els fotomuntatges d\u00b4Aveux non avenus, que encara contenen un deix surrealista, incorporen algunes q\u00fcestions omnipresents en els treballs de Cahun (o Cahun-Moore), com la duplicaci\u00f3, els jocs de miralls o la teatralitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;una identitat inexistent. A molts d&#8217;ells, el cos apareix fragmentat, per\u00f2 la forma de tractar-lo s&#8217;allunya de la fragmentaci\u00f3 cosificadora del cos femen\u00ed que van perpetrar alguns homes del surrealisme.<\/p>\n<p>Durant la seva estada a l&#8217;illa de Jersey, ambdues varen participar activament en la resist\u00e8ncia contra el nazisme. Des de la seva casa, situada davant de la caserna de les forces d&#8217;ocupaci\u00f3, van iniciar una campanya de contrapropaganda i dissenyar i realitzar diversos pamflets, alguns dels quals es poden veure a l&#8217;exposici\u00f3. Van ser arrestades per la Gestapo i van estar a punt de ser executades. Gran part de les seves produccions es van perdre durant l&#8217;arrest.\u2028<\/p>\n<p>Claude Cahun i Marcel Moore. Lucy Schwob i Suzanne Malherbe. La duplicaci\u00f3 tot ho copa. El meu reflex en l&#8217;altre, el reflex de l&#8217;altre en mi. La construcci\u00f3 de la identitat a partir d&#8217;aqu\u00ed, com repetici\u00f3 constant. A trav\u00e9s del desplegament d&#8217;una estrat\u00e8gia performativa que, des de finals dels anys seixanta, amb la irrupci\u00f3 de les teories feministes dins l&#8217;\u00e0mbit art\u00edstic, no ha deixat d&#8217;actualitzar-se i repensar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A La Virreina, Claude Cahun i les seves m\u00faltiples lectures i usos de la identitat es presenten en exposici\u00f3.
