Sobre gestos a Atenes i Documenta 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Atenes. El moment just abans del moment previ. documenta14. El que ha precedit aquest moment t\u00e9 molt\u00edssim inter\u00e8s. Un gest -un gest pot ser buit, no ho oblidem- que ha comportat obrir Documenta primer a Atenes i m\u00e9s tard a Kassel. Alemanya i Gr\u00e8cia, dues Europes, dos passats, dues situacions pol\u00edtiques, una crispaci\u00f3 general. I un seguit de preguntes que sobrevolaran tot l\u2019esdeveniment: Qu\u00e8 pot o ha de fer l\u2019art? \u00c9s necess\u00e0ria una il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3? Per a qui la il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3? Quina capacitat d\u2019acci\u00f3 real hi ha des dels grans esdeveniments de l\u2019art?<\/p>\n<p>I un proc\u00e9s basat en un pensament discursiu i mitjan\u00e7ant el debat, una concatenaci\u00f3 de continguts que pressuposen una continuaci\u00f3. Paul Preciado en acci\u00f3 i un desmuntar-ho tot a partir d\u2019elements paral\u00b7lels, alteraci\u00f3 de l\u2019ordre i sortir d\u2019all\u00f2 que preestablert. O potser \u00e9s la fe i el desig que sigui aix\u00ed, que despr\u00e9s arribar\u00e0 la caiguda. I el &#8220;despr\u00e9s&#8221; apareix amb el moment d\u2019exposici\u00f3, amb l\u2019obertura de documenta14 a Atenes. I aqu\u00ed es desmunta tot per\u00f2 no per b\u00e9. Puc parlar de frac\u00e0s i no en positiu. Despr\u00e9s de cinc anys la improvisaci\u00f3: Documenta s\u2019obrir\u00e0 m\u00e9s tard del previst ja que tot va a \u00faltima hora. En el suposato moment d\u2019obrir portes a Odeion -un dels espais expositius destacats- hi ha b\u00e0sicament caos. I a Documenta li demanes molt m\u00e9s que a qualsevol altra exposici\u00f3. S\u00f3n cinc anys, no ho oblidem. \u00c9s una cosa que ha de marcar l\u2019esdevenir d\u2019almenys cinc m\u00e9s. \u00c9s una cosa que ha de canviar la manera com comprenem l\u2019art. I s\u00ed, no \u00e9s f\u00e0cil.<\/p>\n<p>I no hi ha canvi, no hi ha reformulaci\u00f3 sin\u00f3 que es vesteix el descuit amb una capa cool de suposada nova educaci\u00f3 i de suposada nova pol\u00edtica. Per\u00f2 encara pitjor que la decepci\u00f3 \u00e9s trobar-se amb alguna cosa que fa olor d\u2019exercici acad\u00e8mic cl\u00e0ssic i b\u00e0sic: tens un resultat ja trobat a priori (en aquest cas el resultat \u00e9s &#8220;ei, el m\u00f3n est\u00e0 fatal fatal&#8221;) i muntes una suposada investigaci\u00f3 amb diverses l\u00ednies per arribar-hi. Com m\u00e9s l\u00ednies millor, com m\u00e9s p\u00e0gines millor, com m\u00e9s cites millor, com m\u00e9s avorriment millor, com m\u00e9s dist\u00e0ncia millor. I ho emplenes amb imatges que il\u00b7lustrin el resultat per\u00f2 que no siguin prou fortes com per desmuntar el discurs (aquest &#8220;ei, el m\u00f3n est\u00e0 fatal fatal&#8221; \u00e9s el discurs i el resultat al mateix temps). Una cosa tancada per endavant, el que implica que aqu\u00ed no passa res ja que tot est\u00e0 decidit. L\u2019exposici\u00f3 est\u00e0 morta. Has decidit matar l\u2019exposici\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 no t\u2019esquitxi. I, a m\u00e9s, resulta que no \u00e9s una exposici\u00f3 gran sin\u00f3 una s\u00e8rie d\u2019exposicions petites que segurament ja has vist abans. I l\u2019ombra que tot \u00e9s un pre\u00e0mbul per Kassel.<\/p>\n<p>Les parts. A Odeion. El conservatori d\u2019Atenes, una exposici\u00f3 correcta a partir d\u2019una construcci\u00f3 cl\u00e0ssica de so i pr\u00e0ctiques sonores que porten a la performativitat. Aqu\u00ed no hi ha disputa de g\u00e8nere que valgui ni inestabilitat. Encara que sempre hi ha obres a destacar com els treballs de Pauline Oliveros (en mode &#8220;recuperaci\u00f3 hist\u00f2rica&#8221;), el de Theo Eshetu amb un film en el qual diferents tipologies est\u00e8tiques documentals i narratives per a la identitat es posen en dubte, o un v\u00eddeo de Ben Russell de 2007 amb aquesta barreja de r\u00e0bia, ball i suor combinada amb perill. A l\u2019Escola de Belles Arts una exposici\u00f3 correcta que podria signar qualsevol fira d\u2019art de bon ordre: estic dins i penso que seria el mateix estar a Frieze, que no importa estar en aquest lloc (amb els seus estudiants de belles arts cabrejats per\u00f2 silenciats) i que l\u2019est\u00e8tica de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s simplement el mateix de sempre; \u00e9s norma. Evidentment hi ha tamb\u00e9 bones obres \u2013per descomptat- com la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula de Rosalind Nashashibi acostant-se a una figura d\u2019artista &#8220;externa&#8221;, la brutalitat hist\u00f2rica en present d\u2019Artur Zmijewski amb els nous camps de concentraci\u00f3 i pobresa, o l\u2019estetitzaci\u00f3 de la pol\u00edtica i la migraci\u00f3 de Bouchra Khalili. Dos espais, el primer amb una exposici\u00f3 que seria correcta per a qualsevol centre d\u2019art de mida i inter\u00e8s mitj\u00e0 i el segon com aquest l\u00edmit entre una est\u00e8tica firal de qualitat i un posicionament de desig pol\u00edtic en un context -fora de l\u2019exposici\u00f3- degradat. Per\u00f2, una altra vegada, a Documenta li demanes m\u00e9s i aqu\u00ed no hi ha aquest plus conceptual, aquest gir, aquest replantejament absolut. Per molts bocins d\u2019art sami que hi posis.<\/p>\n<p>A l\u2019EMST, el nou museu nacional d\u2019art contemporani d\u2019Atenes, es configura el desastre. El que suposadament \u00e9s una cosa aix\u00ed com la base hist\u00f2rica del discurs no \u00e9s m\u00e9s que una negaci\u00f3 de possibilitats mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019encotillament. Les obres s\u00f3n clarament il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3 i no se\u2019ls deixa que siguin acci\u00f3 real i en present. Per\u00f2 el discurs no \u00e9s m\u00e9s que aquest resultat b\u00e0sic, de manera que la proposta expositiva elimina tota possibilitat d\u2019acci\u00f3 a l\u2019art. I \u00e9s cl\u00e0ssic, i \u00e9s hist\u00f2ric, i el llenguatge expositiu \u00e9s normatiu -extremadament normatiu-, i \u00e9s conservador amb totes les forces. No entenc qu\u00e8 ha passat entre aquests moments previs de desestabilitzaci\u00f3 i aquest exercici acad\u00e8mic de baix perfil. Baix perfil tamb\u00e9 en l\u2019opci\u00f3 arxiu, que les coses es poden fer b\u00e9 i no \u00e9s el cas. I el desig en les persones que visiten l\u2019exposici\u00f3 segueix i Daniel Garc\u00eda And\u00fajar es menja Instagram ja que la seva obra t\u00e9 m\u00e9s colors i el personal es descobreix necessitat d\u2019empatia. A Annie Sprinkle i Beth Stephens les fiquen sota una escala mec\u00e0nica, de manera que qualsevol opci\u00f3 sensual i real en el seu llit es converteix en una impossibilitat. Els pocs elements que podrien ser interessants passen desapercebuts i el que es vol destacar \u00e9s -una altra vegada- un perfum pretesament descolonial <i>tr\u00e8s bien<\/i> per\u00f2 que no afecti gaire. Impol\u00b7lut. Innecessari tamb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Despr\u00e9s v\u00e9nen tots aquests llocs a la ciutat en qu\u00e8 no tindr\u00e0s el pes de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 i el seu llenguatge (com si no ho haguessis pogut evitar en els primers, \u00e9s clar). I no va. Per comen\u00e7ar un problema de categoritzacions: posar al mateix sac performances de durada curta i coses que no ho s\u00f3n. B\u00e9, sembla que has treballat molt si tens un mapa amb m\u00e9s de quaranta ubicacions externes en marxa. Potser no \u00e9s tant si bona part d\u2019elles s\u00f3n un programa de performance apanyadet. Destacar un pis amb una bogeria instalativa d\u2019Andreas Angelidakis que b\u00e9 funcionaria a la biennal de Berlin d\u2019DIS i una ubicaci\u00f3 com Polytecnion, un lloc tan incre\u00efblement carregat de significat i pot\u00e8ncia que les obres que Documenta presenta aqu\u00ed desapareixen completament.<\/p>\n<p>En un taxi buscant unes ovelles tintades amb indi -que no trobem, com tampoc trobar\u00e9 res de Roger Bernat encara que ho hagi intentat molt i preguntant hagi afrontat el desconeixement absolut per part del personal- rebem la informaci\u00f3 d\u2019un atemptat terrorista al mig d\u2019Estocolm en aquest mateix moment. Dins del taxi som quatre persones que vivim a Estocolm. Silenci sepulcral i pluja d\u2019sms. I despr\u00e9s pensar sobre el significat pol\u00edtic d\u2019aquesta Documenta i sobre el poc que afecta a nivell personal, el poc canvi que implica en el funcionament art\u00edstic i la manca d\u2019emoci\u00f3 que hi ha. Que \u00e9s el m\u00ednim que demanes. Preguntar-se tamb\u00e9 com saltar d\u2019una cosa que podia ser un replantejament de veritat a una gestualitat grandiloq\u00fcent i propagand\u00edstica. I s\u00ed, no \u00e9s f\u00e0cil. Pensar en els gestos i en que aix\u00f2 de desubicar en llocs ja estava a la Documenta de Okwui Enwezor, que la incorporaci\u00f3 d\u2019altres camps ja era a la de Catherine David i que fins i tot aix\u00f2 de marcar mapes amb altres ubicacions tamb\u00e9 pot ser un gest igual de buit pol\u00edticament com el que una taula en un restaurant de la Costa Brava fos part f\u00edsica de Documenta 12.
