{"id":23957,"date":"2018-05-28T06:00:28","date_gmt":"2018-05-28T05:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/?p=23957"},"modified":"2018-05-28T08:12:05","modified_gmt":"2018-05-28T07:12:05","slug":"un_temple_en_vida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/un_temple_en_vida\/","title":{"rendered":"Un temple en vida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Ahora voy a brillar <\/em>es el t\u00edtol de la mostra que comissarien Paola Vega i Cristina Schiavi en els espais expositius de la Colecci\u00f3n Fortabat i que, per primer cop, presenta el conjunt de la producci\u00f3 d&#8217;Omar Schiliro (1962-1994), un artista \u2013una mica eclipsat- d&#8217;aquells que van prendre part en l&#8217;escena del Centro Cultural Rojas als anys 90 a Buenos Aires. La retrospectiva \u00e9s merescuda: Schiliro va treballar com artista nom\u00e9s tres anys, entre 1991 i 1994, per\u00f2 en aquest lapse va dur a terme l&#8217;equivalent a una carrera sencera. M\u00e9s de trenta escultures, fetes a partir d&#8217;importacions barates com palanganes i maceters als quals adosava elements trobats com caniques de vidre, mostacilles i parts d&#8217;aranyes de llum mostren les seves preocupacions rutin\u00e0ries. S\u00f3n obres repetitives en el bon sentit: parlen d&#8217;una acci\u00f3 monocord, pacient i carinyosa, quelcom molt semblant a un matrimoni feli\u00e7.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_23945\" style=\"width: 277px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23945\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-23945 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Omar-Schiliro-2-267x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Omar-Schiliro-2-267x400.jpg 267w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Omar-Schiliro-2-768x1151.jpg 768w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Omar-Schiliro-2.jpg 1583w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 267px) 100vw, 267px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-23945\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Sin t\u00edtulo<\/em>, 1993. Col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 particular<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Schiliro va ser un artista d&#8217;un esplendor arrebatat, breu per\u00f2 obcecat. Sense estudis previs en mat\u00e8ria art\u00edstica, aquest jove nascut als suburbis de Buenos Aires, fill de mare soltera, va comen\u00e7ar de cop a prendre part molt activa d&#8217;una escena que es comgregava al voltant del Rojas, quan el curador Jorge Gumier Maier va donar llum a una generaci\u00f3 d&#8217;artistes molt estranys que fins llavors feien circular la seva producci\u00f3 en espais poc normalitzats i gens professionals: els circuits de la nit i la festa, la gr\u00e0fica underground i la milit\u00e0ncia gay que van tenyir amb una mica d&#8217;alegria la d\u00e8cada de 1980, la convulsionada \u00e8poca de la posdictadura a l&#8217;Argentina. Abans, de m\u00e9s jove, Schiliro havia estat un artes\u00e0 d&#8217;aquells que venen la seva producci\u00f3 en fires i parcs els dies de sol. Un cop se li va diagnosticar el VIH, l&#8217;any 1991, i fins a la seva prematura mort, va produir una obra molt compacta, centrada en l&#8217;escultura amb material trobat, principalment pl\u00e0stic i vidre.<\/p>\n<p>Molt s&#8217;ha dit, en relaci\u00f3 a l&#8217;escena del\u00a0Centro Cultural Rojas, sobre el <em>camp <\/em>\u00a0i la defensa d&#8217;una imatge maldestra i pobre de l&#8217;artista com a no professional. C\u00edtrics com Pierre Restany i Jorge L\u00f3pez Anaya diversament van qualificar la producci\u00f3 del Rojas com \u00a0\u201carte guarango\u201d o \u201cart light\u201d. Els artistes del Rojas, no obstant aix\u00f2, reunien un candor \u00fanic, una fidelitat cap a les seves pr\u00f2pies condicions de producci\u00f3 prec\u00e0ries i una originalitat formal extrema que va resultar il\u00b7legible, en el seu moment, per a les institucions locals. Aqu\u00e9stes han buscat, des del cam\u00ed del mil\u00b7leni, rellan\u00e7ar els vasos comunicants entre l&#8217;art contemporani argent\u00ed i l&#8217;escena regional, per\u00f2 amb l&#8217;accent posat en la tradici\u00f3 del neoconceptualisme pol\u00edtic i els seus temes pretesament &#8220;seriosos&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Al Rojas, en canvi, valor\u00e0ven m\u00e9s un cripticisme pansexualitzat, morb\u00f3s i alegre. Quelcom vist com massa local i intradu\u00efble. Els objectes de Schiliro s\u00f3n xifres per a la sensibilitat, com quelcom d&#8217;element cerimonial i quelcom d&#8217;objecte extraterretre de funci\u00f3 desconeguda. Sorpr\u00e9n que la seva producci\u00f3 tan breu i intensa, a la vegada estigui enfocada en tan pocs elements i en un repertori consistent de sol\u00b7lucions: la majoria de les peces semblen variacions d&#8217;una \u00fanica idea invisible que es mant\u00e9 intacta al llarg del recorregut, dipositada en la ment del espectador com una contrasenya.<\/p>\n<p>El seu mecanisme principal \u00e9s l&#8217;encast entre els cairels de vidre, que funcionen com a tentacles, i les bases de p\u00e0lstic, que proveeixen a acada pe\u00e7a d&#8217;una secci\u00f3 circular. Els objectes tenen els colors apastelats de les peces de pl\u00e0stic que els integren, i als quals va afegir llums i, en alguns casos, peces m\u00f2bils que subratllen un element l\u00fadic, \u00f2ptic i cin\u00e8tic. La llum de les obres i el seu patr\u00f3 formal, tan escurrid\u00eds, que les f asemblants a l\u00e0mpades m\u00e0giques la funci\u00f3 de les quals fos vetllar per l&#8217;alegria. La reiteraci\u00f3, a\u00a0Schiliro, te un vis terap\u00e8utic, no en el sentit d&#8217;assolir un paliatiu sin\u00f3 m\u00e9s aviat en el de buscar un cam\u00ed d&#8217;autoconeixement. Aquesta reiteraci\u00f3, present en els processos de Schiliro i no nom\u00e9s en els seus resultats, atorga a les peces d&#8217;un inquiet sentit reconfortant, semblant al de les accions repetides d&#8217;un rite.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_23948\" style=\"width: 282px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23948\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-23948 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Omar-Schiliro-3-272x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"272\" height=\"400\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-23948\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Sin t\u00edtulo<\/em>, 1993. Costantini<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Per\u00f2 prendre&#8217;s l&#8217;art com a religi\u00f3 (\u201cresacralitzar l&#8217;art\u201d, segons el lema de Marcelo Pombo, un altre dels artistes destacats del Rojas) va de la m\u00e0 de no entendre-ho del tot com un quefer professional, normalitzat, inmediatment comprenssible. El tr\u00e0nsit vital de Schiliro, signat per la malaltia i la proximitat de la mort, el va permetre fer alguna cosa que un artista imbuit de dilemes m\u00e9s terrenals no podria assolir tan f\u00e0cilment: desprendre&#8217;s dels condicionaments que l&#8217;envoltaven i insistir en el pols de la seva pr\u00f2pia m\u00e0quina interior. Potser no buscava una salvacio, sin\u00f3 concretar el desig de construir un temple en vida, o almenys, adornar-lo.<\/p>\n<p>Francisco Lemus, un dels pocs investigadors que van dedicar temps a l&#8217;obra de Schiliro quan aqu\u00e9sta no rebia pr\u00e0cticament cap atenci\u00f3 cr\u00edtica, recupera algunes de les an\u00e8cdotes al cat\u00e0leg de la mostra. Entre elles, el contacte de Schiliro amb l&#8217;escena art\u00edstica local, que va ser condici\u00f3 del seu propi devenir artista. Aquest contacte va ser amor a primera vista i va oc\u00f3rrer a la redacci\u00f3 de la revista <em>Diferentes<\/em>, una publicaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;underground gay de Buenos Aires, l&#8217;any 1985. \u201cAquesta revista\u201d diu Lemus, \u201ccontenia una secci\u00f3 d&#8217;anuncis de cites. Un dia Schiliro va anar a deixar un av\u00eds i qui el va atendre a la porta va ser Gumier Maier, que treballava all\u00e0 com a periodista.\u201d Van quedar en tornar a trobar-se i al cap de poques setmanes van comen\u00e7ar a sortir. Amb el temps, Schiliro es va instal\u00b7lar a la casa de Gumier Maier, on va desenvolupar tota la seva obra. \u201cEn la inmediatesa de la mort va generar per ell mateix un espai aut\u00f2nom, gaireb\u00e9 sagrat\u201d, segons Lemus. I aquest espai, l&#8217;espai f\u00edsic d&#8217;una casa, el temps que transcorre amb els amics, el nuvi i tota la seva gent estimada, van ser els que van permetre la seva acci\u00f3 art\u00edstica reiterativa, velo\u00e7 i plena d&#8217;amor.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ahora voy a brillar<\/em>, a m\u00e9s, \u00e9s la tercera retrospectiva que la Colecci\u00f3n Fortabat consagra a estudiar millor i posar a disposici\u00f3 del p\u00fablic les vides i les obres dels artistes del Rojas, despr\u00e9s de les que van dedicar a Marcelo Pombo, l&#8217;any 2015, i Benito Laren, l&#8217;any passat. No \u00e9s contradictori, per\u00f2 s\u00ed meritori, dedicar un esfor\u00e7 institucional a aquests artistes secrets del c\u00e0non, molt locals i divertits, que es prenien l&#8217;art seriosament com a rite, en no prendre-se&#8217;l seriosament com a feina.<\/p>\n<p>En una entrevista publicada a la revista <em>La Maga<\/em> en 1993, Schiliro diu:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cYo hac\u00eda bijouterie y pensaba en la pl\u00e1stica, pero nunca me hab\u00eda lanzado. Pas\u00f3 el tiempo, me enferm\u00e9 de SIDA y estaba muy deprimido y Gumier me invit\u00f3 a participar en la muestra <em>Bienvenida primavera<\/em>, para la que hice una obra que veo como una expresi\u00f3n de angustias, depresiones que se tornaron primaverales. Esto lo relaciono con s\u00edntomas m\u00edos, llagas, manchas en la piel; todo se transform\u00f3 en eso. Mi intenci\u00f3n era manifestar un estado de hiperalegr\u00eda.
