Sovint haurien de ser-ho. La sobreestimulaci\u00f3 visual i la demanda cont\u00ednua de verificaci\u00f3 ocular, propiciada per les pantalles dels aparells digitals, converteix l&#8217;escolta atenta \u2013sense la mediaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;ull\u2013 en un impossible. L\u2019oculocentrisme tamb\u00e9 evidencia aquesta perspectiva. No obstant aix\u00f2, deixar de mirar aguditza els altres sentits. Privar la vista afina l&#8217;o\u00efda. Escoltar sense veure pot ser una acci\u00f3 totalment enriquidora, sempre que es tracti d&#8217;una acci\u00f3 autoconscient i intermitent. Fomenta una actitud auditiva pro-activa focalitzada en l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia est\u00e8tica. Per\u00f2 parar esment a les vibracions sonores que es produeixen al nostre voltant tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s un acte de coratge. En nombroses ocasions un preferiria tapar-se les o\u00efdes ben fort i amb la mateixa efic\u00e0cia amb la que tanca les parpelles. En qualsevol escenari urb\u00e0 danyat permanentment pel soroll eixordador del vehicle privat un desitjaria bloquejar l&#8217;abast de les seves ones sonores. La possibilitat de deixar d&#8217;escoltar situacions adverses i la predisposici\u00f3 a escoltar subtileses pr\u00e0cticament imperceptibles s\u00f3n dos anhels que vehiculen les diferents col\u00b7laboracions textuals d&#8217;aquest mes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Compte, s&#8217;escolta&#8221; \u00e9s un enunciat que deriva de la traducci\u00f3 a l&#8217;angl\u00e8s de la noci\u00f3 d&#8217;escolta atenta. <em>Listen carefully<\/em> \u00e9s un concepte l&#8217;adverbi del qual incorpora matisos relatius a la cura i la precauci\u00f3. Al llarg del mes d&#8217;octubre de 2019, a la meva proposta com a editor convidat d\u2019A*Desk es convoquen raonaments te\u00f2rics i intervencions art\u00edstiques que conviden a pensar l&#8217;escolta. Les diverses contribucions proposen reflexions pol\u00edtiques, est\u00e8tiques i divulgatives en les quals s&#8217;infiltra el debat sobre la musicalitat. L&#8217;apreciaci\u00f3 auditiva, en un moment hist\u00f2ric caracteritzat per la ubiq\u00fcitat musical despr\u00e9s de la desmaterialitzaci\u00f3 dels seus suports, permet col\u00b7locar l&#8217;audi\u00e8ncia i les seves o\u00efdes en el centre del debat.<\/p>\n<p>En el seu escrit preliminar la te\u00f2rica<a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/fonografies-de-la-ciutat-global\/\"> Carmen Pardo Salgado<\/a> es det\u00e9 en el cilindre de cera del fon\u00f2graf de Thomas Edison, l&#8217;orella del pintor Vincent Van Gogh i el projecte sonor <em>Surround Me: A Song Cycle for the City of London<\/em> (2010-2011) de l&#8217;artista escocesa Susan Philipsz per a articular un assaig que, en termes auditius, defensa la &#8220;distracci\u00f3&#8221; com a &#8220;mesura de protecci\u00f3&#8221;. Promoure &#8220;un altre tempo en l&#8217;o\u00efda de l&#8217;oient&#8221; \u00e9s una de les conclusions que suscita una an\u00e0lisi consp\u00edcua sobre l\u2019auralitat a la ciutat global.<\/p>\n<p>El m\u00fasic i artista visual <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/within-visual-phenomena-vol-i\/\">Arnau Sala Saez<\/a> investiga les formes difuses de la fenomenologia ent\u00f2ptica per a elaborar un projecte art\u00edstic desplegat a trav\u00e9s de tres eixos: uns enregistraments sonors distribu\u00efts en sis seccions, un conjunt de composicions gr\u00e0fiques de naturalesa abstracta i un text explicatiu que argumenta l&#8217;exploraci\u00f3 f\u00edsica del fenomen, aix\u00ed com el proc\u00e9s de creaci\u00f3 establert. Les peces sonores resultants dibuixen microsons electr\u00f2nics que esbossen textures sint\u00e8tiques tra\u00e7ant escenaris auditius imaginaris.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/hauntologia-electroacustica\/\">Shak Benavides<\/a> explica l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia que suposa dirigir TeslaFM, una emissora de r\u00e0dio centrada en una labor encomiable: difondre les pr\u00e0ctiques musicals d&#8217;arrel experimental. Electroac\u00fastica, electr\u00f2nica d&#8217;avantguarda i art sonor s\u00f3n alguns dels \u00e0mbits tractats per un mitj\u00e0 radiof\u00f2nic que emet tant els enregistraments espectrals del segle XIX com els artefactes musicals m\u00e9s insospitats de l&#8217;actualitat. El seu ampl\u00edssim bagatge musical tamb\u00e9 es manifesta a trav\u00e9s de la seva ecl\u00e8ctica labor com Dj Shak i l&#8217;exploraci\u00f3 hauntol\u00f2gica que \u00e9s Lucius Works Here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/donde-esta-la-musica\/\">Sam Roig<\/a>, director del projecte sonor L&#8217;Ull Cec, es pregunta on \u00e9s la m\u00fasica. Per a fer-ho organitza s\u00e8ries d&#8217;interrogants estructurats en funci\u00f3 de par\u00e0metres espec\u00edfics que a priori servirien per a albirar la localitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquesta. Q\u00fcestionant la interpretaci\u00f3, la sonoritat, el silenci, l&#8217;escolta, el suport f\u00edsic i la partitura el text indaga en els m\u00faltiples dubtes ontol\u00f2gics que suscita la m\u00fasica. &#8220;Quina difer\u00e8ncia hi ha entre pensar-la, escoltar-la i recordar-la?&#8221; \u00e9s una de les q\u00fcestions clau d&#8217;una reflexi\u00f3 que interpel\u00b7la l&#8217;evocaci\u00f3 i la il\u00b7lusi\u00f3 en clau coclear.<\/p>\n<p>Aquestes valuoses contribucions respecte a les connotacions est\u00e8tiques i ideol\u00f2giques de l&#8217;escolta poden ampliar-se mitjan\u00e7ant el seguiment de les propostes te\u00f2riques i art\u00edstiques \u2013passades i futures\u2013 de cadascun dels seus col\u00b7laboradors. De la mateixa manera es recomana parar esment a l&#8217;exposici\u00f3 <em>Art sonor?<\/em> comissariada per Arnau Horta (Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3 de Barcelona, 2019), la compilaci\u00f3 de textos <em>Escucha, por favor<\/em> editada per Jos\u00e9 Luis Espejo (Madrid: EXIT, 2019), la s\u00e8rie de vinils del projecte art\u00edstic LEVE (coordinat per Esperanza Collado i Rafael Mart\u00edn del Pou des de 2011) i la revista anglesa The Wire, una font inesgotable d&#8217;articles a auscultar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>(Imatge: National Scientific and Industrial Research and Inventions Office, les botzines ac\u00fastiques de George Mabboux per a localitzar avions, 31 de maig de 1935.
