Aleshores, per descomptat, es tracta de ficcions i fets, i de com aquests tenen processos actius d&#8217;articulaci\u00f3 similars. En particular, estic somiant amb una hist\u00f2ria alternativa en qu\u00e8 les revolucions en el pensament cient\u00edfic i la tecnologia que van tenir lloc a l&#8217;\u00e8poca hel\u00b7len\u00edstica (despr\u00e9s de la mort d&#8217;Alexandre el Gran i abans de la formaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;Imperi Rom\u00e0) no es van perdre. La import\u00e0ncia hist\u00f2rica d&#8217;aquest per\u00edode \u00e9s recentment descoberta, en primer lloc per Lucio Russo <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_3');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_3');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_49732_1_3\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[3]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_49732_1_3\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\"> <span lang=\"es\">Russo, Lucio. &#8220;The Forgotten Revolution: How Science Was Born in 300 BC and Why it Had to Be Reborn&#8221;. Per a aquest historiador de la ci\u00e8ncia antiga una cosa que va ser crucial en les innovacions d&#8217;aquest per\u00edode va tenir a veure amb el sorgiment del <em>convencionalisme ling\u00fc\u00edstic<\/em>: la idea que les associacions entre termes i els seus significats no s\u00f3n necess\u00e0ries i naturals, sin\u00f3 que es poden establir arbitr\u00e0riament (com les estructures anat\u00f2miques descrites per Herophilos i Erasistratus). Aquesta comprensi\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 va obrir espai per a una relativitzaci\u00f3 dels sistemes de significat, i no \u00e9s sorprenent que aquests instruments conceptuals sorgissin en el moment de la formaci\u00f3 d&#8217;una antiga cosmopol\u00edtica -no en la versi\u00f3 propagand\u00edstica que veia els grecs al cim, sin\u00f3 en el sentit veritablement nou sincretista, diasp\u00f2ric, transnacional i trans-\u00e8tnic d&#8217;un m\u00f3n (o un <em>ekumen<\/em>, si m\u00e9s no) que s&#8217;acostava. En aquest sentit, la noci\u00f3 de cosmogram\u00e0tica em va fer pensar tamb\u00e9 en aix\u00f2: com, ja saps, realment aquest tipus de cosmopol\u00edtica comporta una necessitat de centrar-se simult\u00e0niament en la gram\u00e0tica, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 de trasbalsar-se dels seus somnis d&#8217;estabilitat i continu\u00eftat per infondre&#8217;l canvi. Aix\u00f2 crea una bretxa entre el llenguatge i el significat, una bretxa que deixa passar tant els fets com les ficcions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Fictopus3-595x369.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"620\" class=\" wp-image-49586 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Fictopus3.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Fictopus3.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Fictopus3-595x369.jpg 595w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Fictopus3-768x476.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>CM: <\/strong>Per mi, \u00e9s dif\u00edcil imaginar com les formes de vida poden tenir un nom incorporat tamb\u00e9, potser onomatopeic o alguna cosa aix\u00ed\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>FB: <\/strong>Puc imaginar-ho a trav\u00e9s de la meva experi\u00e8ncia de viure en una part del m\u00f3n que no parla la meva llengua materna. I arreglar-me-les a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;un llenguatge al qual no m&#8217;apropo tant gramaticalment, sin\u00f3 pragm\u00e0ticament, a trav\u00e9s de la parla, cosa que m&#8217;allunya encara m\u00e9s de qualsevol naturalitzaci\u00f3. Per exemple, en itali\u00e0 la majoria de paraules tenen g\u00e8nere; per\u00f2 l&#8217;angl\u00e8s permet aquesta difer\u00e8ncia, aquesta dist\u00e0ncia de l&#8217;expectativa en itali\u00e0 que tot tindr\u00e0 un g\u00e8nere. I aix\u00f2 ja ho saps, fins i tot de manera molt inconscient, encara et posiciona en una experi\u00e8ncia diferent. Creeu la possibilitat de veure m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 d&#8217;aquesta visi\u00f3 naturalitzada del llenguatge d&#8217;alguna manera. I aix\u00f2 em resulta especialment fascinant si imaginem un coneixement cient\u00edfic alternatiu que recordi el seu fonament epistemol\u00f2gic en aquest llenguatge no natural. (&#8230;) Veig com en la meva pr\u00f2pia manera de ser abans d&#8217;obrir-me a llenguatges realment diferents, tamb\u00e9 m\u00e9s profundament, tenia una disposici\u00f3 diferent cap a mi mateix, diguem-ne. Aix\u00ed que aquesta transformaci\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 del jo que ve amb ella em sembla fascinant. Crec, per exemple, que sonem molt diferents quan parlem diferents idiomes. I crec que aquest tipus de coses que sovint passem per alt com a q\u00fcestions de traducci\u00f3 s\u00f3n, de fet, m\u00e9s profundes. Tenen aquest costat de la relaci\u00f3 entre una gram\u00e0tica o un llenguatge i la realitat viscuda, una mena de realitat gaireb\u00e9 ontol\u00f2gica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CG: <\/strong>Recon\u00e8ixer el desenvolupament del llenguatge cient\u00edfic com a arbitrari i convencional \u00e9s un pensament molt refrescant, que em recorda els talls de Barad <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_4');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_4');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_49732_1_4\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[4]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_49732_1_4\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Barad, Karen. &#8220;Meeting the Universe Halfway: Quantum Physics and the Entanglement of Matter and Meaning&#8221;. Considerar un \u201csistema\u201d ling\u00fc\u00edstic com una convenci\u00f3 compartida que serveix per fer coses amb el m\u00f3n, no nom\u00e9s per representar-lo i governar-lo, ens apropa a la seva obertura. Precisament perqu\u00e8 s&#8217;usa al m\u00f3n, el llenguatge canvia per ell, per les relacions en qu\u00e8 s&#8217;usa i per les que crea. I no es tracta de relacions abstractes que es donen entre \u00e9ssers purament cognitius i pensants, sin\u00f3 de relacions entre els cossos i la materialitat, la immaterialitat, els entorns&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CM: <\/strong>A m\u00e9s, aprendre diferents idiomes et fa m\u00e9s conscient de com \u00e9s de divertit l&#8217;idioma perqu\u00e8 saps que no parles correctament, sigui el que sigui que aix\u00f2 signifiqui. I aquesta idea que no tens control absolut d&#8217;un idioma et posa en posici\u00f3 de jugar amb les paraules. I crec que aquesta alegria \u00e9s molt important.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SR:\u00a0<\/strong>El que acabes de dir, Filippo, sobre com canviem el tipus d&#8217;idioma que parlem, em fa pensar tant en la noci\u00f3 de somni com en la imaginaci\u00f3 col\u00b7lectiva. Viure en mons multiling\u00fces, somiar en diferents idiomes amb diferents coses de diferents maneres, crea realitats diferents per a mi. Un altre pensament que tinc \u00e9s repensar el treball de Marija Gimbutas sobre\u00a0 \u201cThe Language of the Goddess&#8221; <span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_5');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_49732_1('footnote_plugin_reference_49732_1_5');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_49732_1_5\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[5]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_49732_1_5\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\"> <span lang=\"es\">Gimbutas, Marija. &#8220;The Language of the Goddess: Unearthing the Hidden Symbols of Western Civilization&#8221;, Harper &amp; Row Publishers, San Francisco, 1989<\/span> <\/span><\/span><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> jQuery('#footnote_plugin_tooltip_49732_1_5').tooltip({ tip: '#footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_49732_1_5', tipClass: 'footnote_tooltip', effect: 'fade', predelay: 0, fadeInSpeed: 200, delay: 400, fadeOutSpeed: 200, position: 'top center', relative: true, offset: [-7, 0], });<\/script> a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;aquesta perspectiva de la cosmogram\u00e0tica, portant alhora el llenguatge d&#8217;all\u00f2 m\u00e9s que hum\u00e0, \u00e9s a dir, tant animal com a vegetal, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 el m\u00f3n animista i espiritual en aquest concepte. Quines s\u00f3n les possibles converses en diferents assemblees? I veig aquesta q\u00fcesti\u00f3 de la vitalitat com l&#8217;abund\u00e0ncia i la diversitat no sols dels llenguatges, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 de les cosmologies i les visions del m\u00f3n. Tenint en compte aix\u00f2, el llenguatge no \u00e9s simplement una eina cultural, sin\u00f3 una din\u00e0mica biocultural que en si mateixa segueix donant forma a les seves relacions; \u00e9s la construcci\u00f3 del m\u00f3n, per dir-ho aix\u00ed. I en aquesta din\u00e0mica hi ha un gran potencial i cert empoderament: si modifiquem les nostres paraules i llenguatges podem mobilitzar nous coneixements o reactivar vells coneixements. Als meus inicis a la pr\u00e0ctica vaig canviar paraules i significats no per intenci\u00f3, sin\u00f3 per no con\u00e8ixer molt b\u00e9 l&#8217;idioma angl\u00e8s. De vegades acabava intentant trobar una traducci\u00f3 per a alguna cosa que es pogu\u00e9s expressar en un idioma per\u00f2 no en l&#8217;altre. I em vaig quedar estancat, vaig haver de trobar traduccions m\u00e9s po\u00e8tiques que literals, cosa que va crear obertures o portals a diferents formes d&#8217;expressi\u00f3. I en algun moment aix\u00f2 es va convertir en un m\u00e8tode elegit conscientment. La meva experi\u00e8ncia en ling\u00fc\u00edstica em va portar a mirar les arrels d&#8217;una paraula i a rastrejar la transformaci\u00f3 dels significats en diferents per\u00edodes de temps, influenciats per creences, pol\u00edtiques i tecnologies. Descobrir i recon\u00e8ixer les arrels em va fer considerar una paraula com una planta en si mateixa. Tornar a aquestes arrels, \u00e9s novament com un altre portal a mons alterns; mons on aquestes paraules es van formar i elles mateixes van ser part de l&#8217;establiment de relacions. A trav\u00e9s de l&#8217;adaptaci\u00f3 a una forma espec\u00edfica d&#8217;usar els idiomes, i aix\u00f2 succeeix principalment amb l&#8217;idioma amb qu\u00e8 creixem, tendim a donar-ho per fet, per\u00f2 despr\u00e9s desenterrar aquestes arrels ens ajuda a tornar a relacions espec\u00edfiques i potencialment a les nostres pr\u00f2pies arrels. A m\u00e9s, hi ha una concepci\u00f3 molt antropoc\u00e8ntrica del llenguatge que redueix la imaginaci\u00f3 de formes alternatives de comunicaci\u00f3 amb altres \u00e9ssers. Redueix el llenguatge als sons i la parla, mentre que la comunicaci\u00f3 i el llenguatge podrien no tenir paraules, per\u00f2 s\u00ed que s\u00f3n rics en expressions de cossos, olors i moviments. Per mi, quan parlem de cosmogram\u00e0tica, penso en els molts llenguatges, gestos, paraules i sons potencials, com a portals per obrir, per canviar entre mons, ja sigui creant similituds o convidant tamb\u00e9 a l&#8217;ambig\u00fcitat, creant no juxtaposicions bin\u00e0ries sin\u00f3 m\u00e9s aviat multiplicitat dins una expressi\u00f3 po\u00e8tica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CG<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Aix\u00f2 em fa pensar en el nostre experiment Fracto (1), quan comencem a imaginar com els personatges que participaven a la confer\u00e8ncia transplanet\u00e0ria podrien desenvolupar una metodologia compartida per explorar els missatges que rebien en la seva l\u00ednia de temps. Ens preguntem &#8220;com \u00e9s que tots van saber participar a la confer\u00e8ncia mentre vivien en mons on els subjectes, els objectes, les q\u00fcestions urgents, les tecnologies i les hist\u00f2ries s\u00f3n diferents? Com es van trobar?&#8221;. Em pregunto qu\u00e8 hi est\u00e0 en joc. Tamb\u00e9 vaig haver de pensar en el nostre nom com a col\u00b7lectiu, Fictopus. En part es va deure a una situaci\u00f3 dif\u00edcil: ten\u00edem problemes amb el projecte FICT (2) i no sab\u00edem com procedir. M\u00e9s tard vam decidir mantenir aquest component negatiu, que al final tamb\u00e9 va ser un moment fundacional, en el nom, per\u00f2 hi vam afegir el pop i vam fusionar les dues paraules. Una mica com Paul B. Despr\u00e9s que el grup es va reduir a causa dels desafiaments del projecte, tornem a la nostra constel\u00b7laci\u00f3 inicial, el cosmos com tu en dius, Connie. Convertir-nos en alguna cosa nova mentre tornem a la nostra formaci\u00f3 inicial, afegir &#8220;Octopus&#8221; a &#8220;FICT&#8221; va ser una bona manera de recordar i transformar experi\u00e8ncies a trav\u00e9s de noms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AC: <\/strong>Aix\u00f2 \u00e9s cert. Llegir-ho \u00e9s una mica com anar darrere d&#8217;escena dels seus m\u00e8todes i t\u00e8cniques: va jugar molt amb el llenguatge i, en \u00faltima inst\u00e0ncia, el llibre tracta sobre el potencial alliberador de les paraules. Novament em pregunto qu\u00e8 significa triar una paraula, o modificar una paraula, jugar-hi.
