{"id":63977,"date":"2025-02-24T07:30:58","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T06:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/?p=63977"},"modified":"2026-04-14T13:23:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T11:23:06","slug":"siete-reflexiones-breves-casi-exabruptos-sobre-la-idea-de-frontera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/siete-reflexiones-breves-casi-exabruptos-sobre-la-idea-de-frontera\/","title":{"rendered":"Set reflexions breus, quasi exabruptes, sobre la idea de frontera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1.- Quan el 2012 els curadors nord-americans Elizabeth Sussman i Joe Sanders van convidar l&#8217;inclassificable realitzador Werner Herzog a ser part de la prestigiosa Whitney Biennial, aquest els va dir que no.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPer\u00f2 per qu\u00e8?\u201d, van assenyalar confusos, \u201cpotser no assisteix vost\u00e8 a museus i exposicions?\u201d \u201cNo\u201d, va dir. &#8220;No assisteixo a museus ni exposicions, no s\u00f3c part del m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art&#8221;. \u201cPer\u00f2, no \u00e9s vost\u00e8 un artista?\u201d. \u201cNo.\u201d Va dir. \u201cJo s\u00f3c un soldat.\u201d<br \/>\nHerzog volia ser un \u201cbon soldat del cinema\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El creador de <em>Fitzcarraldo<\/em> i <em>L&#8217;Home \u00f3s<\/em> planteja que en el temps paral\u00b7lel a Rembrandt, hi ha a Holanda un artista que anomena el pare de la modernitat. Es tracta d&#8217;Hercules Segers (1590-1638). A partir del cos d\u00b4obra d\u00b4aquest pintor del segle de l\u00b4or, realitza no un film, no una pintura en moviment, sin\u00f3 una instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 que va ser part ic\u00f2nica de la biennal. Pel que fa a aix\u00f2, pensa que les seves pintures i les seves pel\u00b7l\u00edcules no es parlen una a una altra per\u00f2 m\u00e9s aviat ballen una amb una altra, despla\u00e7ant o m\u00e9s aviat travessant les categories de classificaci\u00f3 de les disciplines art\u00edstiques. No eren transcendentals. O m\u00e9s aviat tot a i per a ell era cinema.<\/p>\n<p>2.- Pensar la idea de frontera em porta a connectar-la r\u00e0pidament amb la idea d&#8217;obscenitat. Per qu\u00e8 obscenitat? es pot pensar, qu\u00e8 hi t\u00e9 a veure?<br \/>\nI \u00e9s que l\u201fexist\u00e8ncia en si de la frontera \u00e9s depenent d&#8217;una imposici\u00f3. En el cas f\u00edsic, sociopol\u00edtic, geogr\u00e0fic, sempre \u00e9s aix\u00ed.<br \/>\nNo hi ha frontera no imposada. Perqu\u00e8 no v\u00e9nen d&#8217;origen, perqu\u00e8 no estaven estructurades, ni en aquest continent ni en cap a partir d&#8217;acords dels pobles en relaci\u00f3 amb el seu context.<br \/>\nPerqu\u00e8 s\u00f3n categories de separaci\u00f3, exclusi\u00f3, imposici\u00f3, que han estat consignades arbitr\u00e0riament per al benefici dels uns per sobre els altres, i aquests uns han estat generalment els homes-blancs-rics-heterosexuals-guanyadors-de-les-batalles.<\/p>\n<p>3.- I aqu\u00ed s&#8217;imposa en el meu pensar la frontera, la imatge que vaig gravar per sempre en mi, el juliol del 2024, en estar indignada, desconcertada, desolada davant del mur de 650 km que separa la terra ocupada de Palestina. Perqu\u00e8 aix\u00f2 \u00e9s avui Israel: una vora\u00e7 tecnologia d&#8217;imposici\u00f3 fronterera, ideol\u00f2gica, psicopatol\u00f2gica automatitzada i solucionada per l&#8217;economia del gran nord-americ\u00e0. Que d&#8217;unit, res.<\/p>\n<p>Fa mal haver d&#8217;escriure aquest text sota un fals cessament al foc que hauria d&#8217;estar alleujant la zona avasallada, envoltada avui per la frontera m\u00e9s crua del m\u00f3n: Gaza. I no obstant per mitjans no cooptats ens vam assabentar que des del suposat cessament ja van m\u00e9s de 100 morts i que els bombardejos no s&#8217;aturen.<\/p>\n<p>4.-La idea de frontera una mica m\u00e9s a prop, em porta a pensar en la injust\u00edcia de C\u00facuta. El 2018, l&#8217;expresident de Xile, Sebastian Pi\u00f1era, acudeix a l&#8217;ic\u00f2nic pont que uneix Vene\u00e7uela amb Col\u00f2mbia, i convida llavors els refugiats pol\u00edtics del -cito- \u201cautoritari r\u00e8gim de Maduro\u201d a buscar oportunitat a la nostra f\u00e8rtil terra. Sis anys m\u00e9s tard, Xile est\u00e0 submergit en la crisi de migraci\u00f3 m\u00e9s gran de la seva hist\u00f2ria recent, i la sola idea de frontera porta en si el cabal de conflictes sobre la penosa gesti\u00f3 d&#8217;aquest tema que enfuria pol\u00edtics i estudiosos de tots els colors ideol\u00f2gics.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest mateix lloc de la frontera colombiana, l&#8217;artista mexicana Teresa Margolles, hi troba la frase \u201cel capital te culea\u201d escrita en un mur. Margolles la utilitza despr\u00e9s per fer una s\u00e8rie de treballs al voltant de la viol\u00e8ncia normalitzada de la desigualtat en el neoliberalisme xil\u00e8, el pa\u00eds <em>promesa al sud de tota frontera<\/em>, que t\u00e9 com a lema la \u201cllibertat per escollir\u201d de Milton Friedman, que no \u00e9s una altra cosa que una falsedat tan gran com una catedral o com la serralada que uneix gran part del continent sud-americ\u00e0 com una columna ossuda.<\/p>\n<p>La llibertat, frontera avall, \u00e9s la de triar <em>de quina manera el capital et dona pel cul<\/em>. Aix\u00ed de fort, aix\u00ed de real. I aquesta frase, que sembla una mena d&#8217;advert\u00e8ncia o premonici\u00f3 d&#8217;un(a) migrant que hi va passar, serveix per a la producci\u00f3 d&#8217;una s\u00e8rie de treballs que desborden les categories i s\u00f3n alhora accions, teles, poemes viscuts, instal\u00b7lacions, fotografies i cartells de Margolles. Dies despr\u00e9s d&#8217;inaugurar la seva exposici\u00f3 a Xile, comissariada per Andrea Pacheco Gonzalez, Xile crema de set de just\u00edcia i igualtat social, i la frontera es torna interior. La frontera -que sempre va ser frontera- \u00e9s Plaza Italia esdevinguda pla\u00e7a Dignidad i posa la perif\u00e8ria al centre, cosa que a l&#8217;elit no li agrada perqu\u00e8 es veu lleig. No \u00e9s la forma, han de dir.<\/p>\n<p>5.-El te\u00f2ric cr\u00edtic indi Homi Bhabha desenvolupa a la seva escriptura el concepte de \u201ctercer espai\u201d, que ressona en la seva possibilitat d&#8217;entendre els espais intersticials on s&#8217;agencien i articulen formes noves d&#8217;identitat cultural, configurant-se potencialment com una forma \u00fatil per mirar cap a les cru\u00eflles, despla\u00e7aments i les di\u00e0spores que no casen, o m\u00e9s aviat directament rebutgen les narratives tradicionals sobre la ja tantes vegades problematitzada idea de nacionalitat.<\/p>\n<p>6.-En m\u00faltiples ocasions s&#8217;ha relacionat aquest darrer concepte de Bhabha amb la idea plantejada a <em>Borderlands, la nueva mestiza<\/em>, de l&#8217;escriptora xicana feminista Gloria Anzald\u00faa, en entendre la idea i el lloc de frontera no ja com una r\u00edgida l\u00ednia divis\u00f2ria que anul\u00b7la, sin\u00f3 com un espai f\u00e8rtil de producci\u00f3 cultural en si mateix. \u00c9s en aquesta l\u00ednia que l&#8217;antropologia de fronteres es converteix en un camp disciplinar \u00fatil per estudiar els fen\u00f2mens culturals que precisament es produeixen a les zones lim\u00edtrofes. A nivell simb\u00f2lic \u2013i no tant\u2013 la frontera \u00e9s aix\u00ed un lloc de pas i de relacions entre cultures, per tant un territori social, por\u00f3s. Ja no una barrera r\u00edgida, sin\u00f3 una oportunitat.<\/p>\n<p>7.-Curiosament aquest text acaba una mica com comen\u00e7a. Reflexionant sobre la producci\u00f3 d&#8217;un altre realitzador prol\u00edfic, inabastable: Ra\u00fal Ruiz, i el cine-m\u00e9s-all\u00e0-del-cinema d&#8217;una producci\u00f3 que permanentment est\u00e0 \u201ccontrastant l&#8217;automatisme de la narraci\u00f3\u201d. Ruiz va ser al llarg de la seva vida un pensador de la imatge i les tecnologies de la visi\u00f3, que va articular un pensament te\u00f2ric i situat a trav\u00e9s de la seva obra: m\u00e9s de cent pel\u00b7l\u00edcules filmades, a m\u00e9s de textos te\u00f2rics, poesia, tallers amb estudiants, posades en escena de teatre i \u00f2pera, i instal\u00b7lacions art\u00edstiques. Va ser conscient, des de molt aviat, de com la ind\u00fastria del cinema funcionava homogene\u00eftzant les maneres de veure i de filmar, relegant l&#8217;espectador a un lloc passiu de consumidor. Les seves refer\u00e8ncies art\u00edstiques, te\u00f2riques i liter\u00e0ries s\u00f3n heterog\u00e8nies i provinents de diferents \u00e8poques, de la cultura popular i l\u00b4acad\u00e8mia, d\u00b4orient i occident. Amb aix\u00f2, es va proposar reformular els esquemes narratius de la ind\u00fastria de Hollywood i reparar la separaci\u00f3 hist\u00f2rica de la teoria i la ficci\u00f3. La majoria de les seves pel\u00b7l\u00edcules s\u00f3n presentades com a \u201cadaptacions\u201d de peces del teatre, la literatura, la pintura: de <em>Palomita <\/em><em>blanca<\/em> a <em>L&#8217;isla del tesoro<\/em>, passant per exercicis m\u00e9s obertament h\u00edbrids com<em> La lechuza ciega <\/em>o <em>Memoria de apariencias<\/em>, i per adaptacions a penes nominals com <em>Tres tristes tigres<\/em>, <em>La colonia pena<\/em>l o fins i tot <em>Di\u00e1<\/em><em>logo de exiliados<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9, la instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 titulada <em>La expulsi\u00f3n de los moro<\/em>s, que consisteix en un tipus de reconstrucci\u00f3 oberta i especulativa sobre una pintura de Vel\u00e1zquez. En aquest sentit, \u2013aix\u00ed com la nostra proposta curatorial recentment exhibida a <em>Ra\u00fal Ruiz, fantasmas arabescos<\/em> al Centro Cultural Matta, de l&#8217;Ambaixada de Xile a Buenos Aires\u2013 Ruiz va con\u00e8ixer i va explorar en vida la pot\u00e8ncia dels arxius art\u00edstics com a punt de partida del seu pensament creatiu i les seves imatges, i el seu llegat \u00e9s aix\u00ed mateix un espai de mem\u00f2ria o una Hist\u00f2ria de l&#8217;Art expandida, on conviuen refer\u00e8ncies heterog\u00e8nies, temps hist\u00f2rics, lleng\u00fces, disciplines art\u00edstiques i tradicions com el barroc espanyol, el teatre veneci\u00e0, la pintura xinesa o la poesia popular de la Vall Central de Xile.\u201d<span class=\"footnote_referrer\"><a role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" onclick=\"footnote_moveToReference_63977_1('footnote_plugin_reference_63977_1_2');\" onkeypress=\"footnote_moveToReference_63977_1('footnote_plugin_reference_63977_1_2');\" ><sup id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_63977_1_2\" class=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text\">[2]<\/sup><\/a><span id=\"footnote_plugin_tooltip_text_63977_1_2\" class=\"footnote_tooltip\">Garc\u00eda , F., &amp; Berger Prado, D.
