{"id":6921,"date":"2012-10-31T01:20:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T01:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/2012\/10\/31\/de-pollock-a-la-performance1462\/"},"modified":"2012-10-31T01:20:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T01:20:00","slug":"de-pollock-a-la-performance1462","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/de-pollock-a-la-performance1462\/","title":{"rendered":"De Pollock a la performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El desgast de certes pr\u00e0ctiques curatorials dutes a terme en els \u00faltims anys a l\u2019\u00e0mbit internacional, unit a l\u2019abs\u00e8ncia d\u2019uns estudis en art a l\u2019\u00e0mbit local que plantegin an\u00e0lisis metodol\u00f2gics enlloc d\u2019enumerar tend\u00e8ncies i cronologies, fan m\u00e9s necess\u00e0ries que mai les exposicions de tesis, fruit d\u2019una investigaci\u00f3 rigorosa, i sobre tot, que elaborin recorreguts temporals transversals.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest sentit, estem de sort perqu\u00e8 fins al 24 de febrer la Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3 de Barcelona presenta \u201cExplosion! El llegat de Jackson Pollock\u201d, co-produ\u00efda junt al Moderna Museet i comissariada per Magnus af Petersens, fins fa uns dies, cap del Departament d\u2019Exposicions i col\u00b7leccions del Moderna Museet i des d\u2019aquest mes d\u2019octubre conservador en cap de la Whitechapel Gallery de Londres. L\u2019any 2006, Magnus af Petersen estava preparant una exposici\u00f3 individual de Paul McCarthy i, parlant sobre alguns dels seus primers treballs (que poden veure\u2019s ara tamb\u00e9 a \u201cExplosion!), l\u2019artista va comentar la influ\u00e8ncia que per a ell havia tingut Jackson Pollock, i especialment, el seu proc\u00e9s de treball. Aquesta refer\u00e8ncia gens \u00f2bvia va ser el punt de partida de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 que el passat estiu es va presentar a Estocolm, i que ara, amb algunes difer\u00e8ncies que comentarem m\u00e9s endavant, es fa a Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MdviV5FjZhI\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Cert \u00e9s que Petersens no descobreix la p\u00f3lvora i aix\u00ed ho reconeix expl\u00edcitament. El subt\u00edtol de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u201cEl llegat de Jackson Pollock\u201d reprodueix el t\u00edtol de l\u2019assaig escrit per Allan Kaprow, el mateix que va encunyar la paraula \u201chappening\u201d, i va contribuir a l\u2019aparici\u00f3 de les pr\u00e0ctiques art\u00edstiques conceptuals. Petersens segueix el diagn\u00f2stic de Kaprow en identificar el moment posterior a la Segona Guerra Mundial com el detonant d\u2019una necessitat de comen\u00e7ar de zero, d\u2019agredir la pintura, percebuda com a pr\u00e0ctica ja esgotada, per explorar altres vies. I per comen\u00e7ar de zero, unes imatges van ser claus per assenyalar un abans i un despr\u00e9s: les fotografies de Hans Namuth que van acompanyar un article aparegut a la revista \u201cLife\u201d sobre Jackson Pollock en el que es mostrava les seves obres, per\u00f2 sobre tot, l\u2019artista en acci\u00f3 (i mai millor dit).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6cgBvpjwOGo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>La tesis de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s ben clara: evidenciar el llegat de Pollock, \u00e9s a dir, de l\u2019artista a l\u2019acci\u00f3, subratllant la rellev\u00e0ncia del gest i les seves conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies: el canvi en el paper de l\u2019artista i la seva dist\u00e0ncia respecte \u201cla obra\u201d, l\u2019\u00e8mfasi en els processos i el canvi en el rol que ha d\u2019assumir l\u2019espectador. En el cam\u00ed es van mostrant diferents opcions i aproximacions: el grup Gutai a Jap\u00f3 llen\u00e7ant ampolles plenes de pintura contra les teles; Niki de Saint Phalle disparant pintura; les m\u00e0quines que pinten de Jean Tinguely; Yves Klein vestit amb esm\u00f2quing donant instruccions als seus models per realitzar \u201cen viu i en directe\u201d les seves Antropometries, o el mateix artista realitzant pintures amb foc, etc\u00e8tera, etc\u00e8tera.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1mJCVM3d7jw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I aqu\u00ed s\u2019introdueix un dels majors \u00e8xits d\u2019aquesta exposici\u00f3, que \u00e9s el de situar els documents audiovisuals al mateix nivell que les obres, documents als que, d\u2019altra banda, podem accedir via Youtube, per\u00f2 que en situar-se just al costat de l\u2019 \u201cobra\u201d (com estudi\u00e0vem a Hist\u00f2ria de l\u2019Art a la Universitat de Barcelona), es converteixen en un \u201cUpdate\u201d brutal dels treballs.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019atzar, les instruccions, les coreografies o les performances s\u00f3n aspectes amb els que els artistes estan treballant ara mateix. I aquesta relaci\u00f3 amb el present, que formava part de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 en la seva presentaci\u00f3 a Estocolm, \u00e9s el que s\u2019ha obviat en el seu viatge a Barcelona o s\u2019ha fet a la manera de petites pinzellades (veure treballs en v\u00eddeo de Janine Antoni o Tracey Moffat i Gary Hillberg, sense grans complicacions ni requeriments per a la seva instal\u00b7laci\u00f3).
