Edici\u00f3 del Festival Internacional de V\u00eddeo i Arts Digitals VAD<\/a> garantia el tractament de diferents tessitures o connexions entre el \u201chigh\u201d i el \u201clow\u201d, all\u00f2 connotat i all\u00f2 banal, all\u00f2 p\u00fablic i all\u00f2 privat. Seguint un emblema que des de l\u2019any 2008 proposa \u201cafinar la selecci\u00f3\u201d, aquesta \u00faltima edici\u00f3 de VAD ha estat un homenatge als 10 anys de l\u2019esdeveniment, i m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de les inconformitats de l\u2019\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 que puguin apar\u00e8ixer sota molts noms, la mostra que rebia al visitant a la Casa de Cultura de Girona complia la seva promesa.<\/p>\n<p>Si la seva directora, N\u00faria Font, havia manifestat deixar-se emportar pel \u201ccoup de foudre\u201d, un cop entrevistada vam saber que no havia estat una selecci\u00f3 tan emocional com motivada per la investigaci\u00f3, l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia i l\u2019examen rigor\u00f3s. Primerament, no es va tractar d\u2019una convocat\u00f2ria oberta com a l\u2019any 2008, on una gran quantitat d\u2019obres arribaven a aclaparar l\u2019espectador, sin\u00f3 una proposta curatorial feta en base a all\u00f2 apr\u00e8s en tots aquestes anys, una edici\u00f3 \u201cespecial\u201d, com ho manifest\u00e0 la pr\u00f2pia N\u00faria: \u201cun programa que es nodreix del que hem viscut\u201d (&#8230;); \u201cdavant la impossibilitat de considerar la totalitat del que hem presentat fina ara, de seleccionar entre les m\u00e9s de 1.200 obres vistes al llarg dels anys, de valorar correctament als m\u00e9s de 800 artistes que han donat nom a les obres exposades i als espectacles presentat (&#8230;), hem decidit convidar a deu artistes que han estat presents en diverses edicions, que segueixen treballant amb una forta marca d\u2019autor i de qui podem presentar obra nova\u201d. Els criteris de selecci\u00f3 asseguraven que aquests deu artistes havien tingut una participaci\u00f3 notable en edicions anteriors, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9, que mantenien en actiu una experimentaci\u00f3 t\u00e8cnica i conceptual i eren capa\u00e7os d\u2019aconseguir una presentaci\u00f3 de peces innovadores en les que se sent\u00eds palpitar \u201cl\u2019aqu\u00ed i ara\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A les obres s\u2019hi advertia un ventall de tensions i sentiments continguts, des d\u2019un v\u00eddeo-joc de l\u2019artista Manel Bayo on a l\u2019espectador se li presenta la possibilitat d\u2019eliminar les obres d\u2019art contemporani de Girona; l\u2019habitaci\u00f3 Giftmat\u00f3n de Beatriz S\u00e1nchez, que sembla escenari d\u2019una fantasia recurrent (amb m\u00e0scara de mico peluda de inclosa); el joc i animaci\u00f3 de Juan Domingo Ferris, que a trav\u00e9s d\u2019una gr\u00e0fica informal i suggestiva proposa alimentar l\u2019odi ciutad\u00e0 i fer-lo explotar en l\u2019\u00e0mbit p\u00fablic; la por vista per Dion\u00eds Escorsa, que es transforma en una experi\u00e8ncia transcendental, amb narrativa i estil cinematogr\u00e0fics, que ens fa moure\u2019ns en tres realitat simult\u00e0nies; l\u2019expansi\u00f3 urbana de Jacobo Sucari (la meva predilecta per la seva connotaci\u00f3 hist\u00f2rica), on s\u2019explota justament all\u00f2 documental per unir-hi les trames de l\u2019espai amb les dels temps passat, present i futur; i per \u00faltim, i en un registre diferent, la formosa pe\u00e7a titulada Swing, de Bettina Hoffman, d\u2019una intensitat que destaca el fragment, les tensions i el silenci. <\/p>\n<p>Espais ben delimitats convertien cada pe\u00e7a en un m\u00f3n autosuficient capa\u00e7 d\u2019atrapar a l\u2019espectador en experi\u00e8ncies molt diverses. En alguns casos, s\u2019imposava la connexi\u00f3 de l\u2019obra a una localitat f\u00edsica o a idees que marquen una determinada comunitat, de manera que el gest de complicitat vers a successos o esdeveniments locals van arribar a manifestar un enlla\u00e7 que no distanciava, emper\u00f2, a l\u2019espectador. Entre els actes que van acompanyar el Festival, cal destacar un cicle de projeccions dedicades a la realitzadora Magali Charrier, els v\u00eddeos de la qual apareixen com una relaci\u00f3 d\u2019esdeveniments dom\u00e8stics i subjectius que busquen noves relacions amb els nostres referents m\u00e9s quotidians i familiars.<\/p>\n<p>El meu final (que havia de ser el principi, per ordre del programa) va ser la pe\u00e7a BLAUS, d\u2019Eloi Maduell, \u00c1lex Posada i Santi Vilanova, on la t\u00e8cnica anava encaminada a crear efectes immersius, com ho descriuen els seus autors. A partir de la cura per tots els detalls, des del modelatge de l\u2019espai, els seus volums i formes geom\u00e8triques fins a nivell ac\u00fastic, les freq\u00fc\u00e8ncies i resson\u00e0ncies existents, el resultat era una pe\u00e7a d\u2019un contrast audiovisual grandiloq\u00fcent. Amb BLAUS es posava de manifest els anys d\u2019experimentaci\u00f3 amb instruments audiovisuals originals, que parteixen de dissenys de hardware i software creats especialment per a espectacles puntuals i que en aquesta ocasi\u00f3 se servien de la combinaci\u00f3 de llum i so electr\u00f2nic per a explorar tota una atmosfera de relacions i contraposicions entre la instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 l\u00e0ser i els murs humits de l\u2019antiga cisterna gegant del Museu d\u2019Hist\u00f2ria de Girona.<\/p>\n<p>En els moments actuals, on cada not\u00edcia descoratjadora sobre la crisis i les retallades sembla que van minant la voluntat investigadora i la capacitat d\u2019experimentaci\u00f3, va valdre la pena despla\u00e7ar-se fins a Girona per veure el Festival. Ll\u00e0stima que la concentraci\u00f3 i grandiloq\u00fc\u00e8ncia d\u2019esdeveniments a Barcelona moltes vegades li disminueixi la visibilitat i import\u00e0ncia a all\u00f2 que ocorre fora, i se\u2019ns obliden les possibilitats d\u2019escapar, encara que sigui temporalment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amb peces i estrat\u00e8gies molt il\u00b7lustratives que anaven des d\u2019all\u00f2 documental a all\u00f2 subjectiu, de vegades amb matisos l\u00fadics, la 10a.
