Despr\u00e9s de sobrepassar nombrosos restaurants replets de turistes, trobo un discret portal amb una placa que em confirma que estic al lloc adequat. Truco al timbre i em conviden a pujar al primer pis. La porta est\u00e0 oberta per\u00f2 no hi ha ning\u00fa, nom\u00e9s una sala molt fosca i pel que sembla, buida. Un dram\u00e0tic contrast entre el bullici exterior recent experimentat i el total a\u00efllament de la meva nova ubicaci\u00f3. <\/p>\n<p>Les caracter\u00edstiques que defineixen el treball de Cinthia Marcelle engloben conceptes tals com la repetici\u00f3, la precisi\u00f3 i la concreci\u00f3 a l\u2019hora d\u2019executar els seus v\u00eddeos i performances. El v\u00eddeo que protagonitza la mostra, \u201cAutom\u00f3vel\u201d, est\u00e0 protagonitzat pel constant fluir de vehicles en una carretera de doble sentit, en un dia que b\u00e9 podria extreure\u2019s de la vida de qualsevol. Despr\u00e9s de diversos plans on els cotxes entren i surten de l\u2019escena en ambdues direccions i amb ritmes de diversos tipus, els propietaris dels mateixos es transformen en esclaus i comencen a emp\u00e8nyer-los. Condemnats a emp\u00e8nyer, topen amb la foscor de la nit on una orquestra de botzines i llums intermitents interpreten l\u2019escena m\u00e9s ca\u00f2tica i po\u00e8tica de l\u2019obra, per acabar amb un fos en negre.  <\/p>\n<p>La idea que desencadena el mite de S\u00edsif no sols est\u00e0 latent en la representaci\u00f3 del v\u00eddeo \u201cAutom\u00f3vel\u201d, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 a la instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 de fotografies que acompanya la mostra a la sala contigua de la seu anglesa de la galeria. Els documents disposats a mode de d\u00edptics mostren quatre seq\u00fc\u00e8ncies on, en cada un dels casos, la primera imatge exhibeix una bomba de fum recent esclatada, i la segona, com aquesta es dissipa esvaint-se a l\u2019atmosfera. Com succeeix a la primera pe\u00e7a de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 on la contaminaci\u00f3 ac\u00fastica acaba aclaparant a l\u2019espectador, a la primera contaminaci\u00f3 ambiental representada a trav\u00e9s d\u2019aquestes petites acciones recollides en unes instant\u00e0nies, la idea del cicle, cercle, repetici\u00f3, est\u00e0 present mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019\u00fas de la narraci\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s de la imatge, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019acci\u00f3\/representaci\u00f3 d\u2019un esdeveniment que es refor\u00e7a a trav\u00e9s de la seva abs\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n<p>De la mateixa manera, l\u2019obra de Cinthia posseeix un temperament impregnat d\u2019ironia on l\u2019absurd es presenta amb aparen\u00e7a de certesa. No \u00e9s casualitat que aix\u00f2 passi ja que la paradoxa \u00e9s un dels conceptes m\u00e9s lligats a la performance, mig usat per l\u2019artista, junt amb la fotografia i el v\u00eddeo, per a transformar les seves idees de l\u2019art. Nascuda l\u2019any 1974 a Belo Horizonte (Brasil), \u00e9s inevitable pensar en els possibles referents que Marcelle absorbeix, a cavall entre les experi\u00e8ncies de Fl\u00e1vio de Carvalho i els happenings del moviment constructiu conegut com Grupo Frente, aix\u00ed com el posterior Neoconcretisme amb artistes com Lygia Clark i H\u00e9lio Oiticica. Aquests vincles poden apreciar-se mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019\u00fas que l\u2019artista fa de la process\u00f3\/manifestaci\u00f3 en alguna de les seves performances. En alguna ocasi\u00f3, Marcelle ha agafat prestades les paraules de Cildo Mireles per a definir el seu treball m\u00e9s performatiu en el que la gent \u201centra en el circuit\u201d i \u201cfa soroll\u201d. Tamb\u00e9 Cildo Meireles havia declarat que: \u201cen certa manera et tornes pol\u00edtic quan no tens forma de ser po\u00e8tic.
