Recorda, i la pr\u00f2pia Alexandra aix\u00ed ho cita, a Roland Barthes quan la defineix com una cosa intr\u00ednseca a l&#8217;\u00e9sser hum\u00e0, ja que la nostra experi\u00e8ncia del m\u00f3n la comuniquem mitjan\u00e7ant el llenguatge. Per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 remet al Barthes d&#8217;\u201c<em>El discurs de la hist\u00f2ria<\/em>\u201d (o <em>Information sur les sciences sociales<\/em>, en la seva versi\u00f3 original), on es proposa desconstruir les tipologies tradicionals dels discursos, subratllant les fronteres, difoses entre el relat fictici i el relat hist\u00f2ric, i restituint al segon la seva simple condici\u00f3 narrativa.<\/p>\n<p>La condici\u00f3 narrativa rememora tamb\u00e9 certs models narratius, especialment procedents del cinema, caracteritzats pel seu afany de llibertat, com poden ser els casos de Chris Marker i Jean-Luc Godard.<\/p>\n<p>Recordem tamb\u00e9 <em>The Otolith Group<\/em>, format per l&#8217;antrop\u00f2loga Anjalika Sagar i el literat Kodwo Eshum, els projectes dels quals es plantegen l&#8217;objectiu de crear una percepci\u00f3 dels fets a trav\u00e9s de textos i imatges relacionats amb els mitjans de comunicaci\u00f3&#8230; I Marker i Godard tamb\u00e9 passaven per all\u00ed&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>I pensem finalment en Francis Al\u00ffs, les propostes del qual poden revisitar-se, no nom\u00e9s a trav\u00e9s de v\u00eddeos, fotografies, dibuixos o publicacions, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 a trav\u00e9s del seu relat: un home recorre els carrers de M\u00e8xic DF empenyent un bloc de gel fins que aquest es fon completament; 500 voluntaris utilitzen pales per tal d&#8217;aconseguir despla\u00e7ar uns cent\u00edmetres una duna a Per\u00fa; un home camina pels carrers de M\u00e8xic, amb una pistola a la m\u00e0, fins que \u00e9s interceptat per la policia&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Segurament tots aquests (i d&#8217;altres) referents no li resulten aliens a l&#8217;Alexandra Laudo. El seu objectiu \u00e9s analitzar de quina manera, en un m\u00f3n actual, saturat d&#8217;imatges i completament medi\u00e0tic, aquesta condici\u00f3 narrativa, intr\u00ednseca a l&#8217;\u00e9sser hum\u00e0, \u00e9s cada vegada m\u00e9s visual. A partir d&#8217;aquesta modificada relaci\u00f3 entre text i imatge, Laudo es planteja analitzar els seus mecanismes de construcci\u00f3, la seva posada en circulaci\u00f3 i el seu consum. I ho fa amb l&#8217;ajuda de vuit artistes, que exposen els seus treballs a La Capella, per\u00f2 que tamb\u00e9 (i no podia ser d&#8217;altra manera), inclou una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;accions paral\u00b7leles que tenen a veure amb la circulaci\u00f3 \/ infiltraci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquestes imatges en d\u2019altres circuits que els s\u00f3n aliens (postals, correus electr\u00f2nics i espais publicitaris en mitjans impresos i online).<\/p>\n<p>Els vuit artistes participants a <em>La condici\u00f3 narrativa<\/em> tenen en com\u00fa la utilitzaci\u00f3 d&#8217;un llenguatge h\u00edbrid, com ho s\u00f3n els seus referents, que es mou entre les arts visuals, el cinema, la literatura i la performance. Comparteixen tamb\u00e9 el pert\u00e0nyer a una mateixa generaci\u00f3, nascuda entre finals dels setanta i principis dels vuitanta, que ha crescut a l\u2019Argentina, a B\u00e8lgica, a Noruega, als Estats Units o a Espanya, i per a la qual la televisi\u00f3 i l&#8217;ordinador han format aviat part del seu entorn.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;exploraci\u00f3 de les relacions entre temps, dist\u00e0ncia i llenguatge \u00e9s l&#8217;eix de la investigaci\u00f3 de Pere Torres, que en aquesta ocasi\u00f3 proposa un recorregut sonor i visual per l&#8217;espai i el temps, a partir de refer\u00e8ncies art\u00edstiques, arquitect\u00f2niques, cient\u00edfiques i personals. Julia Mariscal fa refer\u00e8ncia als dispositius pre-cinematogr\u00e0fics en una instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 la narraci\u00f3 de la qual se centra en el peculiar univers de l&#8217;artista i cineasta Carlos Pastor. Ryan Rivadeneyra presenta un relat visual complex, configurat a partir de fragments o micro-narracions, desvetllant la seva articulaci\u00f3 en el transcurs d&#8217;una \u00fanica performance. Karlos Gil mostra una part del seu projecte cinematogr\u00e0fic en proc\u00e9s, que consisteix en diferents pel\u00b7l\u00edcules, cadascuna filmada en una ciutat diferent i amb clares refer\u00e8ncies a les pel\u00b7l\u00edcules de ci\u00e8ncia-ficci\u00f3 dels 60 (de nou, Chris Marker s\u00ed que passava per all\u00e0).<\/p>\n<p>Tamara Kuselman realitza una narraci\u00f3 (o millor, una v\u00eddeo-narraci\u00f3, ja que hi ha imatge, en aquest cas basada en colors). El relat explica un pla d&#8217;actuaci\u00f3 en cas d&#8217;emerg\u00e8ncia, en el qual es confon simulacre i realitat. La filmaci\u00f3 (i posterior manipulaci\u00f3) de Pieter Greenen de dos pics de la Muntanya Ararat amaga una complexa hist\u00f2ria que evidencia relats hist\u00f2rics, pol\u00edtics i b\u00edblics creats a partir dels conflictes entre Turquia i Arm\u00e8nia al llarg de la hist\u00f2ria. Els <em>ecos<\/em> de l\u2019<em>infra-mince<\/em> de Duchamp unit al soroll de fons de Georges Perec apareixen en una de les dues propostes de Marla Jacarilla, que parteix del s\u00f2l d&#8217;un pati per a convertir-se en una exploraci\u00f3 cartogr\u00e0fica. La mateixa artista explora els processos narratius en l&#8217;elaboraci\u00f3 de la biografia d&#8217;un personatge imaginari a partir de refer\u00e8ncies d&#8217;escriptors i personatges literaris. Tanca aquest cercle de relats Kaia Hugin, que realitza un fals documental en qu\u00e8 s&#8217;acosta al suposat origen esquimal de la seva bes\u00e0via.<\/p>\n<p>La necessitat d&#8217;explicar hist\u00f2ries no \u00e9s aliena als artistes contemporanis, ja sigui per investigar les relacions entre all\u00f2 real i all\u00f2 fictici, entre all\u00f2 p\u00fablic i all\u00f2 privat, per posar en escena sentiments molt personals o per evidenciar arquetips socials. Utilitzant la veu; els subt\u00edtols; la imatge a\u00efllada o en moviment; les influ\u00e8ncies del cinema i la literatura, o les refer\u00e8ncies expl\u00edcites a ells, apareixen ben presents en tots aquests treballs. <\/p>\n<p>Deixant a una banda la irregularitat de les propostes, l&#8217;aposta curatorial de Laudo situa al mateix nivell la presentaci\u00f3 a la sala d&#8217;exposicions i la circulaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aquestes imatges en altres circuits; aquesta vegada, sense les xarxes de seguretat de l&#8217;espai expositiu. La q\u00fcesti\u00f3 \u00e9s, podran aleshores generar interrogants, irritaci\u00f3 o simple curiositat? Seran capa\u00e7os de generar altres relats?
