No obstant aix\u00f2, pocs s&#8217;aventuren a anar m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 i descobrir que el baix seient li permetia arrossegar les tecles en lloc de colpejar-les, doncs estava conven\u00e7ut, igual que el seu mestre Alberto Guerrero, que aquesta t\u00e8cnica millorava cada so. Una faceta, la d\u2019investigador, la de pensador, que, admirador com n\u2019era d&#8217;Arnold Sch\u00f6nberg, el va dur a experimentar entorn les possibilitats de la t\u00e8cnica com a mitj\u00e0 de comunicaci\u00f3 musical. Reinterpretacions en estudi i una rigorosa introspecci\u00f3, com apunta la comiss\u00e0ria de la mostra Anna Cestelli, \u00abcentrada en la no-pres\u00e8ncia\u00bb, van donar com a resultat el que s&#8217;ha definit com un enamorament entre Gould i el micr\u00f2fon, la \u00abtransmissi\u00f3 del pensament com pura veu\u00bb. Aquesta \u00e9s la base de la qual parteix la mostra <a href=\" http:\/\/www.marcovigo.com\/es\/content\/massimo-bartolini-hum\">HUM<\/a>, de Massimo Bertolini i el bar\u00edton Nicholas Isherwood, exposici\u00f3 que aquests dies es pot visitar al MARCO de Vigo, i que ret homenatge al treball cient\u00edfic i especulatiu del genial int\u00e8rpret canadenc.<\/p>\n<p>HUM i Singing North s\u00f3n les obres del projecte que Bartolini i Isherwood presenten juntament amb un nou treball realitzat espec\u00edficament per MARCO; la performance Lettura, una lectura en veu alta de la novel\u00b7la de Thomas |Bernhard \u201cEl malaguanyat\u201d, obra que l&#8217;escriptor va dedicar a Gould despr\u00e9s la mort d&#8217;aquest. Com a complement, el dia de la inauguraci\u00f3 es va realitzar la retransmissi\u00f3 en l\u00ednia de &#8216;Phonology of Noise: The Voice as sound object&#8217;- un meta-esdeveniment, la gravaci\u00f3 del qual pot ser escoltada a la web de <a href=\" http:\/\/www.radicalmatters. com \/ radical.matters.cd.cdr.catalogue.asp? tp = 2 &#038; c = 534\">Radical Matters<\/a> &#8211; i en la qual es mostra una selecci\u00f3 d&#8217;obres, des de finals dels anys setanta, centrades en la manipulaci\u00f3 de la veu com a objecte sonor. Poesia sonora; m\u00fasica experimental; acusm\u00e0tica; metafonia; accionisme sonor i <em>avant-garde black metal<\/em> s\u00f3n alguns dels corrents experimentals que poden sentir-se en aquesta gravaci\u00f3 de gaireb\u00e9 dues hores.<\/p>\n<p>HUM, (2012), enregistrament en c\u00f2pia \u00fanica sobre vinil de dotze polzades format <em>picture disc<\/em>, ve del vocable angl\u00e8s <em>Humming<\/em> (taral\u00b7larejar) i est\u00e0 constru\u00efda a partir de la segona versi\u00f3 que l\u2019any 1981 Gould va dur a terme de les Variacions Goldberg de Bach. En ella, s&#8217;escolta al comp\u00e0s de la m\u00fasica el taral\u00b7larejar del propi Gould en tocar el piano, un acte inconscient que s&#8217;incorpora al disc final modificant d&#8217;aquesta manera la relaci\u00f3 habitual entre una obra cl\u00e0ssica musical i la seva audi\u00e8ncia. La veu de Gould es mostra com un element pertorbador del sistema; ens obliga a realitzar zooms ac\u00fastics per saber qu\u00e8 passa m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de les notes, i podem arribar en ocasions a sentir la pres\u00e8ncia f\u00edsica de l&#8217;int\u00e8rpret, cosa que capgira la nostra experi\u00e8ncia d&#8217;escolta. Aquesta cantarella amotinant \u00e9s all\u00f2 extret per part de Bartolini i Isherwood per a la seva instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 ac\u00fastica HUM. Al DVD del cat\u00e0leg es pot apreciar com va ser la sessi\u00f3 de gravaci\u00f3: Isherwood assegut davant d&#8217;un ordinador -en el qual es veu el v\u00eddeo de les Variacions amb Gould al piano-, materialitza amb la seva veu les expressions vocals de Gould; convertint aquest en una mena de partitura en un enregistrament a l\u2019estudi que es tracta d&#8217;una completa obra preformativa. Un complex exercici d&#8217;intertextualitat es d\u00f3na llavors fent que l&#8217;autor es difumini quedant \u00fanicament la veu &#8211; \u00ababs\u00e8ncia del subjecte, abs\u00e8ncia de narrador\u00bb- en la tradici\u00f3 de la millor poesia sonora.<\/p>\n<p><em>Singing North<\/em>, (2012), micr\u00f2fon amb peu i altaveus, \u00e9s un collage textual format i interpretat per Isherwod a partir del text radiof\u00f2nic <em>The idea of North<\/em> (1967), primera part de la trilogia <em>Solitude Trilogy<\/em>; una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de tres documentals de r\u00e0dio d&#8217;una hora de durada, produ\u00efts per Gould entre 1967 i 1977 per la Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. En ells s\u2019hi reflecteix el concepte de \u00abretirada del m\u00f3n\u00bb i, en aquest primer en particular, es planteja a nivell filos\u00f2fic i geogr\u00e0fic qu\u00e8 \u00e9s el concepte de \u00abnord\u00bb. Paraules i fragments fon\u00e8tics, aix\u00ed com els clics, xiulets i altres manipulacions vocals formen aquesta gravaci\u00f3 sonora per la qual Isherwood ha aconseguit crear un text po\u00e8tic -\u00abimitacions ficcionals\u00bb en paraules de Johnatan Culler-, a trav\u00e9s dels testimonis radiof\u00f2nics que \u00abdiu\u00bb , i per tant no \u00abaixafa\u00bb, al llarg de poc m\u00e9s de quinze minuts.<\/p>\n<p>La veu \u00e9s sens dubte la gran protagonista d&#8217;aquesta mostra. La seva transformaci\u00f3 ac\u00fastica, com a so familiar i via de sonoritat que \u00e9s, adquireix, en el moment en que la totalitat del camp sonor \u00e9s considerada, una pres\u00e8ncia o intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia ressonant, com Carolyn Abbate va apuntar en el seu moment.
