Museum of endangered sounds<\/a><\/em> \u00e9s el projecte de Brendan Chilcutt, iniciat l\u2019any 2012. L’objectiu de Chilcutt \u00e9s recopilar aquells sons propis del m\u00f3n anal\u00f2gic, \u00e9s a dir, d’antics artefactes electr\u00f2nics. Chilcutt recrea aquests complexos sons a trav\u00e9s d’un llenguatge que els re-interpreta com a composicions bin\u00e0ries. Segons explica, el projecte hauria d\u2019estar acabat l\u2019any 2015, despr\u00e9s de 7 anys d’investigaci\u00f3 per aconseguir reproduir fidelment els sons subtils per\u00f2 tan caracter\u00edstics que gaireb\u00e9 han desaparegut.<\/p>\nEl so d’un VHS essent absorbit per un reproductor de v\u00eddeo. El so inconfusible d’una Gameboy, aquella melodia senzilla i bonica. El so que es produeix en netejar un cartutx de la Nintendo abans d’inserir-lo a la seva ranura. Sons que es perden poc a poc, substitu\u00efts per refinats brunzits i elegants despla\u00e7aments de dits \u00e0gils sobre superf\u00edcies diverses.<\/p>\n
Val la pena recordar els sons de la nostra inf\u00e0ncia. De fet, molts dispositius digitals intenten recrear aquests sons. L’estrany brunzit reprodu\u00eft en enviar un correu electr\u00f2nic, el so dels n\u00fameros girant en programar l’alarma com si es tract\u00e9s d’un engranatge. S\u00f3n sons que recorden el m\u00f3n anal\u00f2gic per\u00f2 que no ho s\u00f3n. Potser siguin necessaris per a aquells que no som de la generaci\u00f3 digital, perqu\u00e8 realment tinguem la sensaci\u00f3 d’estar duent a terme una acci\u00f3 en fer clic a “enviar”, per\u00f2 no poden substituir el veritable brunzit anal\u00f2gic, o al so de la maquin\u00e0ria treballant.<\/p>\n
El “Museum of Endangered Sounds” recupera aquestes del\u00edcies sonores, immortalitzant-les ir\u00f2nicament, de manera digital. La contradicci\u00f3 que suposa crear un museu digital de sons anal\u00f2gics pot passar desapercebuda. Digitalitzar els sons \u00e9s el m\u00e9s l\u00f2gic, als ulls de la nostra societat. \u00c9s l’opci\u00f3 m\u00e9s \u00f2bvia. Per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 revela quelcom fonamental: l’anal\u00f2gic no hi t\u00e9 lloc en el nostre m\u00f3n. \u00c9s que la llei digital \u00e9s la \u00fanica capa\u00e7 de representar la nova realitat del m\u00f3n? Fins i tot aquells sons que, en el seu moment, eren incapa\u00e7os d’habitar un altre espai que no fos el f\u00edsic, ara han de sotmetre\u2019s, transformar-se i reconvertir-se per tal de poder existir de nou; per perdurar durant tota l’eternitat. O mentre fins que el format es trobi obsolet. El que arribi primer.<\/p>\n
