El seu objectiu consisteix a atacar l&#8217;imaginari col\u00b7lectiu, o en criticar situacions que semblen immutables per evidenciar les seves problem\u00e0tiques. Poques vegades s&#8217;aconsegueix que aquestes situacions canvi\u00efn d&#8217;un dia per l&#8217;altre. Els gestos simb\u00f2lics s\u00f3n, o b\u00e9 carreres de llarga dist\u00e0ncia, en qu\u00e8 una posici\u00f3 simb\u00f2lica va cobrant for\u00e7a fins a evidenciar la seva coher\u00e8ncia i la incoher\u00e8ncia del que denuncia, o petits cops d&#8217;efecte que fan mal i van erosionant la for\u00e7a del contrari.<\/p>\n<p>El m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art comet sovint l&#8217;error de pensar que, com que ens dediquem a la imatge, a la seva an\u00e0lisi, a la seva construcci\u00f3, a la seva cr\u00edtica, som millor que ning\u00fa duent a terme resist\u00e8ncies passives i gestos simb\u00f2lics. Quant n\u2019estem d\u2019equivocats. Per exemple, quan l&#8217;ajuntament de Reus convoca una adjudicaci\u00f3 privada per al Centre d&#8217;Art Cal Mass\u00f3 per 100 euros al mes, no nom\u00e9s es desent\u00e9n de la cultura com obligaci\u00f3 p\u00fablica, sin\u00f3 que, sobretot, valora com a quincalla aquest tipus d&#8217;equipament, corroborant aquesta idea que cada vegada s&#8217;est\u00e9n m\u00e9s entre el p\u00fablic general de no malgastem en cultura mentre la gent es queda sense casa. Com si la legislaci\u00f3 sobre hipoteques estigu\u00e9s directament lligada a la pol\u00edtica cultural. Potenciant aquesta mentalitat de que la teva compet\u00e8ncia, el teu enemic, el qual viu gr\u00e0cies al teu compte no \u00e9s el banquer, ni el pol\u00edtic, sin\u00f3 el programador cultural del teu ajuntament o l&#8217;artista que rep ajudes de producci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Una altra caracter\u00edstica fonamental dels gestos simb\u00f2lics \u00e9s que necessita la uni\u00f3 per fer la for\u00e7a. L&#8217;ajuntament de Reus t\u00e9 un suport pol\u00edtic que li permet plantejar aquest tipus de pol\u00edtiques sense que ning\u00fa li talli el cap. I aquest recolzament, aquest fer pinya, \u00e9s el que ens falla cont\u00ednuament en el m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art. Eva Gonz\u00e1lez-Sancho va dimitir dilluns passat com a directora del MUSAC per les cont\u00ednues interfer\u00e8ncies pol\u00edtiques que havia de suportar. Parlem d&#8217;una professional de reconegut prestigi que va lidiar durant vuit anys amb la burocr\u00e0cia francesa; no \u00e9s una primerenca de l&#8217;administraci\u00f3 precisament, i la seva cr\u00edtica t\u00e9 sens dubte molt\u00edssim fonament, a m\u00e9s de precedents. Va ser un gest simb\u00f2lic, perqu\u00e8 \u00f2bviament, la Fundaci\u00f3 Siglo darrere el MUSAC seguir\u00e0 sent la gestora del museu, i en el pitjor dels casos, pot col\u00b7locar un pol\u00edtic o a un t\u00e8cnic amb molt de morro i poca vergonya (vegeu Consuelo Ciscar). Per\u00f2 el seu prestigi podria veure\u2019s soscavat si el m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art, de manera conjunta, don\u00e9s l&#8217;esquena a la instituci\u00f3. Semblava que per una vegada an\u00e0vem llan\u00e7ats, amb el comit\u00e8 assessor dimitint en bloc en suport a la directora sortint. I ves per on que en una setmana, set bruts dies, saltant-se a la torera les bones pr\u00e0ctiques en la contractaci\u00f3, contra totes les protestes d&#8217;associacions de directors de museus i cr\u00edtics d&#8217;art, arriba en Manuel Olveira (un home no d&#8217;embolics, sin\u00f3 de treball, <a href=\" http:\/\/www.elcultural.es\/noticias\/ARTE\/4898\/Manuel_Olveira_es_el_nuevo_director_del_MUSAC\">com ell mateix declara<\/a>) i accepta el c\u00e0rrec a dit.<\/p>\n<p>Dormim amb el nostre enemic. Quan les institucions decideixen no pagar artistes per exposar, sempre hi ha alg\u00fa que s&#8217;apunta al carro deixant als seus col\u00b7legues a la cuneta. Quan es fan jugades brutes en institucions, sempre hi ha alg\u00fa disposat a fer la vista grossa, dir que l&#8217;important \u00e9s estar i fer programa, no perdre aquests espais. Al final, el que s&#8217;aconsegueix a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;aquestes travetes que ens posem cont\u00ednuament \u00e9s ratificar als pol\u00edtics que poden fer el que els doni la gana, perqu\u00e8 sempre trobaran alg\u00fa ple d&#8217;ego i desig de poder que els seguir\u00e0 el joc. Que el m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art segueix la llei de la selva, on cadasc\u00fa s&#8217;aferra a la seva liana i no la deixa anar encara que als seus companys se&#8217;ls mengin els tigres.
