Ho hem vist a Espanya, amb diversos museus i artistes que lluiten per guanyar-se la vida. Gr\u00e8cia no \u00e9s l&#8217;excepci\u00f3. Per a un dels pa\u00efsos m\u00e9s durament afectats econ\u00f2micament, la cultura no pot situar-se en primera l\u00ednia de l&#8217;agenda del govern. Afortunadament, per\u00f2, els organitzadors de <a href=\"http:\/\/remapkm.org\/4\/\">ReMap 4<\/a> van pensar diferent. L&#8217;edici\u00f3 d&#8217;aquest any, que \u00e9s la quarta, semblava estar tenint lloc no malgrat la crisi, sin\u00f3 a causa d&#8217;ella. Els organitzadors van sentir la necessitat d&#8217;abordar el tema a trav\u00e9s de l&#8217;art presentat, i la seva decisi\u00f3 hauria d\u2019inspirar-nos a tots per adonar-nos que l&#8217;art pot moltes vegades ser un refugi, un di\u00e0leg, un manifest, una protesta o fins i tot una soluci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>La crisi actual tamb\u00e9 s&#8217;ha convertit en una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 pol\u00edtica, una crisi social i sens dubte una d\u2019existencial. Sota aquestes circumst\u00e0ncies, una gran part de la societat grega ha arribat a q\u00fcestionar i buscar (re)definir la seva identitat. Almenys hauria de fer-ho. Remap 4, una plataforma d&#8217;art contemporani que reuneix la majoria dels galeries, artistes i curadors emergents internacionals, va prendre l&#8217;esfera p\u00fablica d&#8217;Atenes del 8 al 30 de setembre i va transformar, va comentar i va complementar el paisatge urb\u00e0 dels barris de Kerameikos i Metaxourgio.<\/p>\n<p>En el context sociopol\u00edtic actual, ReMap 4 va re-visitar els problemes als quals s&#8217;enfronta el pa\u00eds i els va re-presentar en alguns casos a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;una lent art\u00edstica i en d\u2019altres, d&#8217;una manera for\u00e7a crua i sense disfressa. Tal \u00e9s el cas de les obres de Stelios Karamanolis, que fa que els retrats del seu avi, un heroi de la Segona Guerra Mundial, actuin com a record d&#8217;una figura coneguda per ell nom\u00e9s a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;hist\u00f2ries i fotografies, retrats, que al mateix temps, segons el mateix artista, s\u00f3n la manifestaci\u00f3 material de la metaf\u00edsica de la vida. Aquest intent revela un anhel o la recerca d&#8217;una identitat perduda o potser una certa nost\u00e0lgia per alg\u00fa a qui l&#8217;artista mai va con\u00e8ixer, per\u00f2 que d&#8217;alguna manera ha idolatrat. Altres obres com les de Bill Balaskas, Ley Iam o Hanna Liden reflecteixen la situaci\u00f3 sociopol\u00edtica vol\u00e0til i actuen com un mapa de l&#8217;estat psicol\u00f2gic i material en descomposici\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Paral\u00b7lelament a la cr\u00edtica social que va exercir, ReMap 4 tamb\u00e9 va acostar-se a les q\u00fcestions de car\u00e0cter m\u00e9s art\u00edstic. Tal \u00e9s el cas de l&#8217;exposici\u00f3-a-l\u2019-exposici\u00f3 &#8220;In the studio&#8221;, que va ser presentada a la Kunsthalle Athena, on 41 artistes i les seves obres van retornar a un dels moments fonamentals en tot proc\u00e9s: la g\u00e8nesi de les obres d\u2019art. &#8220;In the studio&#8221; observa els factors i etapes d&#8217;una obra, des del moment de la seva concepci\u00f3, la din\u00e0mica del taller de l&#8217;artista i fins a la seva santificaci\u00f3. Mirant els models, maquetes i obres d&#8217;art inacabades els visitants podien sentir la dimensi\u00f3 oportuna d&#8217;aquest proc\u00e9s, mentre es visualitzava l&#8217;objecte material en proc\u00e9s de ser (re)format, un estat de canvi que la societat grega est\u00e0 experimentant tamb\u00e9 en aquest moment.<\/p>\n<p>En general, podr\u00edem veure ReMap 4 com a una met\u00e0fora de la condici\u00f3 f\u00edsica i psicol\u00f2gica de tota una societat, un esb\u00f3s de les restes materials dels barris atenesos, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 de l&#8217;\u00e8tica i la resist\u00e8ncia emocional dels grecs, la rutina dels quals s&#8217;ha transformat en una lluita di\u00e0ria per la superviv\u00e8ncia. En identificar els temes recurrents de la vida i la mort, la decad\u00e8ncia i la resurrecci\u00f3 al llarg de l&#8217;exposici\u00f3, un no podia deixar de preguntar-se si aquests temes s\u00f3n la resposta al dest\u00ed del pa\u00eds. Potser al final, en aquest context particular, tot es redueixi a una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 d&#8217;identitat. Qu\u00e8 est\u00e0 passant amb la societat grega? Qui \u00e9s el grec modern? Igual que les pintures de Wesley Martin Berg, el ciutad\u00e0 d&#8217;avui (una q\u00fcesti\u00f3 internacional, al cap i a la fi) \u00e9s un rodam\u00f3n itinerant, una amalgama, barreja de l&#8217;antic &#8220;hobo&#8221; (jornaler migratori) -encara que sense l&#8217;aire bohemi i el car\u00e0cter seductor d&#8217;antigament- i de la contempor\u00e0nia condemna a l&#8217;esclavitud davant els seus propis desitjos i les conspiracions pol\u00edtiques i financeres. No \u00e9s estrany que sigui el moment de plantejar la pregunta: &#8220;Qui s\u00f3c jo? Qu\u00e8 s\u00f3c jo?&#8221; Pot resultar gaireb\u00e9 impossible definir exactament qu\u00e8 \u00e9s l&#8217;art, per\u00f2 en aquest cas l&#8217;art s\u00ed que pot almenys ajudar a redefinir qu\u00e8 \u00e9s la nostra identitat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>En temps de crisi financera, la cultura \u00e9s una de les primeres \u00e0rees que pateix les anomenades &#8220;retallades&#8221;.
