La trama comen\u00e7a amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3, un cop m\u00e9s, entre Oursler i Bowie per al v\u00eddeo musical Where are we now, hit de l&#8217;esperad\u00edssim retorn del Duc Blanc. Despr\u00e9s entra en escena Louis Vuitton, que per al seu \u00faltim anunci publicitari ha &#8220;venecianitzat&#8221; a Bowie, mestre de cerim\u00f2nies d&#8217;una faula carnavalesca molt glam. El triangle es tanca amb Tony Oursler, estrenant l&#8217;Espai Cultural Louis Vuitton &#8211; el sis\u00e8 del m\u00f3n &#8211; al costat de la pla\u00e7a de Sant Marc. El projecte expositiu general es basa en la reinterpretaci\u00f3 del patrimoni veneci\u00e0 a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;obres contempor\u00e0nies per artistes internacionals convidats. El primer a participar ha estat Tony Oursler amb un <em>site specific<\/em> titulat &#8216;<em>Strawberry-Ecstasy-Green<\/em>&#8216; (2013). En aquest di\u00e0leg obra a obra, la seva interlocutora \u00e9s La mort d&#8217;Otel\u00b7lo (1879), del pintor d&#8217;hist\u00f2ria Pompeo Molmenti.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Otel\u00b7lo de Shakespeare \u00e9s el paradigma del viatger i del guerrer, i un pelegr\u00ed en la seva recerca d\u2019all\u00f2 &#8216;Absolut&#8217;.  En la seva crisi personal, tra\u00eft per la conjura del poder, representada per Yago, perd el control i sacrifica a la seva Desd\u00e8mona. Otel\u00b7lo se su\u00efcida, per ser botx\u00ed per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 v\u00edctima d&#8217;un dest\u00ed que li \u00e9s estrany. Amb una instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 audiovisual, Tony Oursler proposa el corresponent contemporani d&#8217;Otel\u00b7lo, aquest outsider vulnerable a l&#8217;engany, que constitueix un destorb quan ja el seu paper en la trama \u00e9s vacu. Per Oursler, el moro de Ven\u00e8cia reviu avui al soldat afroameric\u00e0, veter\u00e0 de l&#8217;Iraq o de l&#8217;Afganistan, portador dels anomenats <em>post-war efects<\/em>: paranoia, inadaptaci\u00f3, a\u00efllament i incomunicaci\u00f3, que el desplacen del nucli social i el malestar traum\u00e0tic es pal\u00b7lia a base de drogues farmac\u00e8utiques.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-8467\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Tony_Oursler-Vuitton_Venecia.jpg\" alt=\"a) Tony Ousler en Louis Vuitton, Venecia.\" align=\"left\" width=\"670\" height=\"503\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Tony_Oursler-Vuitton_Venecia.jpg 670w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Tony_Oursler-Vuitton_Venecia-533x400.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 670px) 100vw, 670px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;obra combina imatge digital, so, i les caracter\u00edstiques projeccions escult\u00f2riques d\u2019Oursler, incrustades a la pantalla principal i de vidre acolorit de Murano, en qu\u00e8 l&#8217;artista li agrada col\u00b7locar siluetes, grotesques o tr\u00e0giques, que possibiliten l&#8217;enigma i l&#8217;empatia amb l&#8217;espectador. <em>Strawberry-Ecstasy-Green<\/em> funciona a partir d&#8217;un metallenguatge simb\u00f2lic i ideol\u00f2gic, que Oursler activa a trav\u00e9s dels colors del vidre: del vermell strawberry -amor, sang, genitals-, al verd -la gelosia i les seves fat\u00eddiques conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies-. Des de les tres protuber\u00e0ncies veiem i sentim el triple lament de Desd\u00e8mona, recitant versos sobre el seu sentiment de l&#8217;amor i l&#8217;harmonia de la pau.<\/p>\n<p>Al seu torn, una imatge triplicada de l\u2019Otel\u00b7lo-soldat rapeja rimes sobre la viol\u00e8ncia de la guerra i sobre els efectes dels antidepressius, en un &#8220;slang&#8221; que va degenerant al murmuri i el barboteig. L&#8217;escenografia davant la qual actuen \u00e9s un bosc nevat i inh\u00f2spit, que ens d\u00f3na la idea del fred hivern en qu\u00e8 demoren psicol\u00f2gicament els protagonistes als quals Oursler posa tamb\u00e9 cap per avall. No nom\u00e9s una met\u00e0fora del su\u00efcidi, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 el vaticini de la pitjor de les sorts, per qui han sucumbit als engranatges del poder, que en qualsevol de les seves modalitats, condemnen l&#8217;exili d&#8217;un mateix.<\/p>\n<p>La impossibilitat del retorn a casa i de la comunicaci\u00f3 entre Otel\u00b7lo i Desd\u00e8mona queda simbolitzada en les bombolles acolorides: s\u00f3n contenidors psicol\u00f2gics a\u00efllats que es disputen el domini i el poder, impedint la simultane\u00eftat entre les dues estructures narratives, provocant el malent\u00e8s d&#8217;un absurd bla-bla-bla.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest &#8220;<em>v\u00eddeo-teatre<\/em>&#8220;, Oursler deixa clar que gestiona amb soltesa els temps del drama i de la m\u00fasica, recreant el missatge shakespeari\u00e0 a trav\u00e9s de codis simb\u00f2lics i pl\u00e0nols significatius del caos que calen en l&#8217;espectador. No arriba a mostrar-nos la mort carnal d&#8217;Otel\u00b7lo, com en el quadre de Molmenti, doncs Oursler sap b\u00e9 que avui, a difer\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;ahir, passem m\u00e9s temps navegant entre all\u00f2 fictici que en all\u00f2 real. L&#8217;artista prefereix evocar aquesta mort identit\u00e0ria, que aliena i exclou, per reflexionar sobre la reconciliaci\u00f3 entre forces dispars: pau\/viol\u00e8ncia, femen\u00ed\/mascul\u00ed.
