Les imatges dels segells cridaven molt l&#8217;atenci\u00f3 del petit Feldmann, que les retallava i les anava col\u00b7leccionant en llibrets. Actualment la galeria ProjecteSD de Barcelona exposa <em>Stamps with Paintings<\/em>, una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de 150 segells que representen imatges de nus femenins de la hist\u00f2ria de l&#8217;art.<\/p>\n<p>No \u00e9s la millor ni la m\u00e9s emblem\u00e0tica obra de l&#8217;artista, per\u00f2 esperava aquesta exposici\u00f3 seva amb la mateixa emoci\u00f3 de qui espera l&#8217;\u00faltim disc del seu grup preferit. Perqu\u00e8 Feldmann <em>\u00e9s<\/em> un dels meus artistes preferits. Em recorda una bona \u00e8poca venent els seus llibres a la llibreria Koenig Books de Londres -la llibreria \u00e9s una filial del gran imperi Walter K\u00f6nig Buchhandlung amb seu a Col\u00f2nia. S\u00f3n els \u00fanics que publiquen a Feldmann-. Per qu\u00e8 sento un afany gaireb\u00e9 irracional de consumir i col\u00b7leccionar aquest col\u00b7leccionador, de mostrar els seus llibres quan tinc qualsevol tipus de visita a casa i de tenir postals seves per tot arreu? El que segueix podria ser un dec\u00e0leg de per qu\u00e8 visitar l&#8217;exposici\u00f3 en ProjecteSD, o una confessi\u00f3 per parts de per qu\u00e8 em resulta imprescindible el treball d&#8217;aquest artista.<\/p>\n<p>I. Perqu\u00e8 pot convertir una cosa tan banal i avorrida com una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de segells en un interessant viatge pel segle XX.<br \/>\nUna gran part dels segells exposats a <em>Stamps with Paintings<\/em> s\u00f3n dels anys setanta, de pa\u00efsos on actualment est\u00e0 completament prohibit mostrar un nu femen\u00ed. L&#8217;arqueologia del banal de Feldmann presta particular atenci\u00f3 a la influ\u00e8ncia que les imatges tenen en nosaltres, a les categories que ordenen la nostra percepci\u00f3, als mecanismes d&#8217;inclusi\u00f3 i exclusi\u00f3 que utilitzem, encara que mai els fem expl\u00edcits. Per a mi, aix\u00f2 \u00e9s art pol\u00edtic.<\/p>\n<p>II. Perqu\u00e8 la seva obra \u00e9s pura narrativa sense escriure una sola paraula: tant en el llibre <em>Die Toten<\/em> (Els morts, 1967-1993) en qu\u00e8 va investigar a consci\u00e8ncia durant una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;anys qui exactament havia perdut la vida com a conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia de la Red Army Fraction, ja fossin policies, xofers o els mateixos terroristes, com a <em>100 Jahre<\/em> on va fotografiar 101 persones d&#8217;edats diferents, des dels vuit mesos als 100 anys, realitzant un meravell\u00f3s retrat col\u00b7lectiu .<\/p>\n<p>III. Perqu\u00e8 ell tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s un col\u00b7leccionista, tant d&#8217;imatges &#8211; per exemple a trav\u00e9s de les petites publicacions anomenades <em>Bilder<\/em> que realitza des de 1968 &#8211; com de qualsevol tipus d&#8217;objecte, sense establir jerarquies de valor.<\/p>\n<p>IV. Pel seu rebuig, ja sigui de manera innocent o volunt\u00e0ria, a l\u2019enrenou del m\u00f3n de l&#8217;art. A <em>Another Book<\/em> (2010) la seva editora Helena Tatay explica com en els anys noranta si li proposaven exposar a, per exemple, Los Angeles, sense con\u00e8ixer al comissari ho rebutjava perqu\u00e8 deia que estava molt lluny i que no hi coneixia ning\u00fa all\u00e0. Potser si entre el comissari en q\u00fcesti\u00f3 i ell comenc\u00e9s una amistat, trobaria un motiu per visitar la ciutat.<\/p>\n<p>V. Perqu\u00e8 no concedeix entrevistes. I quan accedeix a fer-ho, amb Hans Ulrist Obrist, respon a les preguntes amb imatges i les converteix en una publicaci\u00f3 anomenada <em>Interview<\/em> (2009).<\/p>\n<p>VI. Perqu\u00e8 absolutament tots els cat\u00e0legs d&#8217;exposicions que realitza, ja sigui en institucions grans o petites, els converteix en llibres d&#8217;artista que dissenya ell mateix.<br \/>\nVII. Perqu\u00e8 no signa les seves obres, ni tenen data exacta ni nombre d&#8217;edici\u00f3, i si compres una obra seva t&#8217;envia personalment una carta escrita a m\u00e0 donant-te les gr\u00e0cies. I les companyies d&#8217;assegurances i els col\u00b7leccionistes ho accepten sense dir ni piu.<\/p>\n<p>VIII. Perqu\u00e8 em va fer descobrir els collages de Hannah H\u00f6ch, la dadaista alemanya que va criticar la imatge fr\u00edvola de la dona a les revistes i que realitzava espl\u00e8ndids fotomuntatges. El seu llibre <em>Album<\/em>, publicat per Hatje Cantz l\u2019any 2004, vindria a ser un dels antecessors dels <em>Bilder<\/em> de Feldmann.<\/p>\n<p>IX. Perqu\u00e8 al seu torn, ha influenciat a gran quantitat d&#8217;artistes m\u00e9s joves que ell que han treballat a partir de la serialitat i la repetici\u00f3 d\u2019all\u00f2 banal.<\/p>\n<p>X. Perqu\u00e8 al 2010 al Museu Reina Sofia li va fer una retrospectiva i no em va agradar. Potser per les expectatives creades, o perqu\u00e8 ja havia vist tant treball seu en els llibres que no em sorprenia veure\u2019l exposat.
