{"id":8718,"date":"2014-03-01T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2014-03-01T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/2014\/03\/01\/repeticio-i-alvaro-barrios-al\/"},"modified":"2014-03-01T02:00:00","modified_gmt":"2014-03-01T02:00:00","slug":"repeticio-i-alvaro-barrios-al","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/ca\/magazine\/repeticio-i-alvaro-barrios-al\/","title":{"rendered":"Repetici\u00f3 (I). \u00c1lvaro Barrios al Museo de Arte del Banco de la Rep\u00fablica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-8662\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion_1.png\" alt=\"repeticion_1.png\" align=\"left\" width=\"670\" height=\"446\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion_1.png 670w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion_1-595x396.png 595w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 670px) 100vw, 670px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00c1lvaro Barrios \u00e9s un autor prolix que, dins de la solidificada historiografia de l&#8217;art contemporani colombi\u00e0, \u00e9s analitzat des de tres perspectives: la d&#8217;autor proto-pop (que incorpora el seu inter\u00e8s per les tires c\u00f2miques en m\u00faltiples formats), la d&#8217;\u00e8mul crioll de Marcel Duchamp (a qui imita en maquillatge, de qui repeteix obres o a qui li escriu cartes), i la d&#8217;humorista tardo-modern (amb unes pintures en plantilla on repeteix l&#8217;esquema: picada d&#8217;ullet a l&#8217;historiador d&#8217;art que tots portem dins + judici contra artistes contemporanis p\u00e8ssims + Tom of Finland i\/o c\u00f2mics de l&#8217;edat daurada). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.banrepcultural.org\/prensa\/boletin-de-prensa\/lvaro-barrios-la-leyenda-del-sue-o\">Aquesta mostra<\/a> torna sobre aquests tres moments. I no n\u2019afegeix ni un m\u00e9s. La resta (\u00e9s a dir, les seves facetes com a gestor, curador o cr\u00edtic) es troben a faltar. Molt, la veritat, per fer-li un homenatge de deb\u00f2. Llavors aquesta retrospectiva va quedar incompleta.<\/p>\n<p>A m\u00e9s de la seva producci\u00f3 d&#8217;objectes, Barrios va ser un inquiet galerista que va administrar un espai hom\u00f2nim (cosa habitual en ell, l\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/alvarobarrios.com\/el-homenaje-a-dante-y-la-exposicion-espacios-ambientales\/\">autopromocionarse<\/a>) a la ciutat de Barranquilla. Des d&#8217;all\u00e0 va promoure el m\u00e9s interessant de l&#8217;art colombi\u00e0 de la seva \u00e8poca. Poc se sap d\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/casadeasterion.homestead.com\/v9n36alvarob.html\">aix\u00f2<\/a>. Tamb\u00e9 va estar a prop d&#8217;alguns autors del moviment literari nada\u00edsta. Poc se sap d&#8217;aix\u00f2. I va intentar &#8211; i va fallar- en el vaticini de l&#8217;art de la d\u00e8cada dels noranta. Poc se sap d&#8217;aix\u00f2. (O b\u00e9, poc m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 dels q\u00fcestionaments que li va fer el cr\u00edtic Jos\u00e9 Hern\u00e1n Aguilar, a l&#8217;assenyalar com un defensor tard\u00e0 de &#8220;la concreci\u00f3 d&#8217;un moviment d&#8217;art de processual a la Col\u00f2mbia dels anys 80&#8221;.)<\/p>\n<p>El que s\u00ed mostra l&#8217;exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s un autor que ho fa millor burlant-se dels atavismes heteronormatius que plantejant teories de conspiraci\u00f3 sobre les illes Malvines. Alg\u00fa molt m\u00e9s sincer quan deixa de fer proselitisme -o quan no sap que ho est\u00e0 fent. Una persona elegant que es descompon quan li d\u00f3na per la <a href=\" http:\/\/www.banrepcultural.org\/alvaro-barrios\/mardecolon.php\">veta llatinoamericanista<\/a>. Alguna cosa estranya: en aquesta exposici\u00f3 li va passar el mateix que a Miguel \u00c1ngel Rojas, un altre valor de la seva generaci\u00f3, que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.divulgacion.unal.edu.co\/museo_de_arte\/2012\/miguel_angel_rojas.html\">despr\u00e9s de ser curat per la mateixa curadora<\/a>, va canviar d&#8217;humor. Les seves peces m\u00e9s recents manifesten una profunda ansietat per semblar pol\u00edtiques, com si volguessin caure b\u00e9 al <em>Zeitgeist<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-8663\" src=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion2.png\" alt=\"b) \u00c3\u0081lvaro Barrios, Sin t\u00c3\u00adtulo, 2013. Mecanismo visor para tiras c\u00c3\u00b3micas, reconstrucci\u00c3\u00b3n\" align=\"left\" width=\"670\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion2.png 670w, https:\/\/a-desk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/repeticion2-595x397.png 595w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 670px) 100vw, 670px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>No hi ha un tros tan enorme entre els rotllos de tires c\u00f2miques per veure en caixes de sabates -els sponsors de Converse somreien-, els collages, els exquisits mini-paisatges lunars i l&#8217;estesa performance de Marcel Duchamp, que entre el cos general de la seva obra i la fluixa intenci\u00f3 post-colonial de les seves m\u00e9s recents obres. No \u00e9s suficient el pas dels anys per aconseguir aquesta dubtosa proesa. A <em>La Leyenda del sue\u00f1o<\/em> hi ha una mena de transformaci\u00f3 dolorosa. Un pas que va del joc tranquil a la pretensi\u00f3 maximalista transfronterera. On es descuida el m\u00e9s apreciable del treball de l&#8217;artista: la seva mirada cap als petits curtcircuits que alegren la vida quan un objecte es troba amb un altre. Fi.
