Per demanar, que sigui un de ci\u00e8ncia ficci\u00f3. I a m\u00e9s un que, com tants altres, comenci despr\u00e9s de l&#8217;en\u00e8sim apocalipsi provisional. Com \u00e9s de preveure, en aquest <em>Afterworld<\/em> no tots han mort. Queden uns pocs supervivents aleatoris que, despr\u00e9s de molts anys i consecutius esfor\u00e7os generacionals per mantenir i desenvolupar la ra\u00e7a humana, provoquen un renaixement literal. Desaparegudes les primeres generacions, queda la transmissi\u00f3 oral d&#8217;aquell passat pre-apocal\u00edptic. A mesura que avancen pel territori arriben a un lloc en qu\u00e8 es troben documents pertanyents a aquesta humanitat pret\u00e8rita. Curiosament s\u00f3n documents que es refereixen a l&#8217;art contemporani. Textos impresos, en la seva major part revistes. I \u00e9s aix\u00ed com aquests descendents d&#8217;una hist\u00f2ria despr\u00e9s de la hist\u00f2ria comencen a jugar al <em>tetris<\/em> amb un passat que, paradoxalment, ja havia presenciat el fi de l&#8217;art i l&#8217;arribada de l&#8217;era post-humana.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de la poca versemblan\u00e7a i de l&#8217;escassa qualitat d&#8217;aquesta hist\u00f2ria, la pregunta que podria extreure \u00e9s la seg\u00fcent. Si de l&#8217;art nom\u00e9s en qued\u00e9s la cr\u00edtica d&#8217;art, quina seria la reconstrucci\u00f3 del mateix que aquests textos permetrien a qui els lleg\u00eds en un futur? Pregunta de la qual s&#8217;infereixen m\u00e9s: Quina \u00e9s la representaci\u00f3 que la cr\u00edtica actual fa de l&#8217;art del present?; quina \u00e9s la seva responsabilitat pel que fa a aquesta representaci\u00f3? Extraviada l&#8217;autoritat del cr\u00edtic vuitcentista, quin \u00e9s aleshores el poder de la <em>cr\u00edtica<\/em>? Expulsat el judici del camp d&#8217;operacions del pensament cr\u00edtic, qu\u00e8 fa aquesta cr\u00edtica que no vol, no pot o no s&#8217;atreveix a jutjar? Fins i tot podr\u00edem enredar-nos m\u00e9s en afirmar que fa molt temps que l&#8217;art -almenys en els textos que parlen d&#8217;ell- va deixar de ser bon o mal art per passar a ser art cr\u00edtic o art no cr\u00edtic. On \u00e9s, doncs, la cr\u00edtica en art? En la mateixa cr\u00edtica? En l&#8217;art?<\/p>\n<p>La cr\u00edtica que, com l&#8217;art, es pensa a si mateixa tamb\u00e9 existeix. I \u00e9s conscient dels seus defectes, del seu potencial (frustrat), de la seva responsabilitat i del contrasentit de reclamar certa autonomia. De voler ser cr\u00edtica i no <em>ekphrasis<\/em> intel\u00b7lectual. I es manifesta en moments com el taller que va tenir lloc durant la QUAM i en el qual, al llarg de dos dies i a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;una intensa discussi\u00f3 polif\u00f2nica, van sorgir -entre d&#8217;altres- algunes de les q\u00fcestions enunciades pr\u00e8viament. Igualment ho demostren publicacions com <em><a href=\"http:\/\/fillip.ca\/books\/judgment-and-contemporary-art-criticism\">Judgment and Contemporary Art Criticism<\/a><\/em>, que novament deriven d&#8217;una trobada (Vancouver, 2009) que necessita d\u2019all\u00f2 presencial per accionar el debat que no sempre t\u00e9 lloc on tamb\u00e9 hauria de: en el text escrit.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jugdment and Contemporary Art Criticism<\/em>, a m\u00e9s de cedir a la posteritat textos dels diferents participants, inclou des del seu t\u00edtol la q\u00fcesti\u00f3 del judici. Un terme que autom\u00e0ticament ens remet a Kant, de Kant al romanticisme i del romanticisme als desperfectes de la ra\u00f3 il\u00b7lustrada. I \u00e9s que emetre judicis est\u00e0 molt mal vist, encara que estiguin a la base del pensament. Ser\u00e0 per aix\u00f2 que la cr\u00edtica ha de esfor\u00e7ar-se a camuflar servint-se de cites de tercers -preferentment fil\u00f2sofs o historiadors-, quan no desterrar-los en processos d&#8217;autocensura per part del cr\u00edtic. L\u2019esglaiament que produeix el judici, tant en qui l&#8217;emet com a qui el rep, fa que la cr\u00edtica, encara que es posa a examen, caigui en ret\u00f2riques pr\u00f2pies de la filologia a l&#8217;hora d&#8217;auto-definir. La tr\u00edada cr\u00edtica-crisi-criticalitat n\u2019\u00e9s un bon exemple.<\/p>\n<p>Es fa com a m\u00ednim curi\u00f3s que, en un camp tan vinculat al subjectiu com \u00e9s la cr\u00edtica d&#8217;art, els seus productes resultants s&#8217;esforcin tant en eliminar la subjectivitat de qui escriu, que no t\u00e9 res a veure amb escriure en primera persona. Transportant la noci\u00f3 de cr\u00edtica en la seva pr\u00f2pia terminologia, \u00e9s contradictori que la cr\u00edtica d&#8217;art s&#8217;hagi adaptat a aquesta positivitat fr\u00edvola que determina l&#8217;impuls emocional de les xarxes socials; que sigui conscient que produeixen textos per ser llegits en diagonal i que neixen per ser oblidats un cop consumits; o que s&#8217;escudi en arguments com que l&#8217;elecci\u00f3 \u00e9s ja una forma de cr\u00edtica en si mateixa. Pensant en els protagonistes d&#8217;aquell llibre de ci\u00e8ncia-ficci\u00f3, una de les responsabilitats de la cr\u00edtica seria <em>jutjar<\/em>, no nom\u00e9s qu\u00e8 ofereix al present, sin\u00f3 la responsabilitat de tot document de cara al futur.
