Amb la pressa habitual, de vegades llegim les coses en diagonal. Mal fet, ja que aqu\u00ed residien algunes claus del projecte: s&#8217;esmenta alguna cosa d&#8217;un mur, una porta, i una clau que cal sol\u00b7licitar per correu postal, la qual, tot sembla indicar, obrir\u00e0 la porta. En els \u00faltims projectes de Valverde, la recerca d&#8217;un p\u00fablic implicat de forma activa -m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de ser un mer observador d&#8217;objectes-, \u00e9s un dels elements claus. Tot i aix\u00f2, vaig decidir no demanar la clau, ja que anava el dia de la inauguraci\u00f3, i volia veure qu\u00e8 passava&#8230; si alg\u00fa l&#8217;havia demanat o no, si s&#8217;obria o es tancava aquesta estranya porta. En efecte, aqu\u00ed resideix ja un posicionament com a p\u00fablic, i una expectativa creada, que enlla\u00e7a amb un altre element essencial i molt vinculat amb aquesta participaci\u00f3 activa del visitant: l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia com a moment \u00fanic, viu i irrepetible; certa enteniment performatiu de l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia est\u00e8tica on els diferents elements implicats -peces, espai, arquitectura, audi\u00e8ncia- generen noves ag\u00e8ncies entre ells que poden produir escenaris inesperats.<\/p>\n<p>En arribar a La Capella, efectivament, un mur amb una petita porta aixecat a uns metres de l&#8217;entrada bloqueja el pas, i un misteri\u00f3s fum s&#8217;est\u00e9n per l&#8217;espai. El treball i la intervenci\u00f3 conscient sobre una arquitectura concreta \u00e9s una altra de les constants de Valverde, que ho escomet des de la perspectiva d&#8217;un escultor. En travessar el mur, una vegada &#8220;apareguda&#8221; la clau, descobrim que un dispositiu col\u00b7locat a l&#8217;absis va escopint fum. A prop, una altra petita porta donava acc\u00e9s a una petita i estranya habitaci\u00f3, en la qual ens topem amb un vell monitor de televisi\u00f3 i una c\u00e0mera de v\u00eddeo que apunta al primer, en una mena de circuit tancat que ofereix estranyes imatges.<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;aqu\u00ed el terme  <em>transcomunicaci\u00f3 instrumental,<\/em> una pr\u00e0ctica que es desenvolupa des dels seixanta, que estableix un proc\u00e9s de comunicaci\u00f3 -presumptament- amb l&#8217;origen en el m\u00e9s enll\u00e0, mitjan\u00e7ant dispositius electr\u00f2nics. Uns exercicis visionaris que busquen generar teories cient\u00edfiques sobre un suposat &#8220;m\u00f3n subterrani&#8221;, enfrontant el coneixement racional i l\u00f2gic amb un altre d&#8217;origen incert i imprec\u00eds&#8221;. Valverde ho porta al seu terreny per desplegar el seu treball i incorporar una capa m\u00e9s, que apunta a establir una comunicaci\u00f3 que transcendeix el llenguatge i all\u00f2 narratiu, i una relaci\u00f3 amb la significaci\u00f3 de la materialitat -o la immaterialitat-, i l&#8217;afectivitat dels objectes, els cossos, l&#8217;espai i l&#8217;intangible.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de voler explicar-nos una hist\u00f2ria, Valverde proposa una experi\u00e8ncia on all\u00f2 viscut pren la posici\u00f3 central, apropant-se al pensament de Karen Barad, que proposa un canvi en el focus, passant del representacionalisme a la performativitat per abordar la materialitzaci\u00f3 dels cossos -humans i no humans-, i les pr\u00e0ctiques materials-discursives; on espai, temps i mat\u00e8ria s\u00f3n re-configurats posant l&#8217;\u00e8mfasi en aquesta performativitat inherent al proc\u00e9s. Aqu\u00ed, les diferents ag\u00e8ncies s&#8217;expandeixen, i el terme post-hum\u00e0 adquireix un recorregut que excedeix els l\u00edmits del m\u00f3n f\u00edsic, buscant un contacte amb altres dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>A <em>Arrebato<\/em>, la pel\u00b7l\u00edcula d&#8217;Iv\u00e1n Zulueta de 1980, els personatges circumden cert misticisme de la imatge deidificada i el seu entramat representacional. Nom\u00e9s a trav\u00e9s de dos agents externs (la c\u00e0mera i l\u2019<em>hero\u00efna<\/em>) s\u00f3n capa\u00e7os d&#8217;arribar a la connexi\u00f3 m\u00edstica. A La Capella de Sant Roc es despleguen tamb\u00e9 diversos dispositius que pretenen posar-nos en comunicaci\u00f3 amb un cert misticisme tecno-representacional inherent a aquest espai concret, la seva arquitectura, la seva hist\u00f2ria i el seu entorn (f\u00edsic o intangible).
