{"id":14173,"date":"2012-01-31T05:49:53","date_gmt":"2012-01-31T05:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/2012\/01\/31\/carta-sobre-la-situacio-del-centre\/"},"modified":"2012-01-31T05:49:53","modified_gmt":"2012-01-31T05:49:53","slug":"carta-sobre-la-situacio-del-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/en\/magazine\/carta-sobre-la-situacio-del-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Carta sobre la situaci\u00f3 del Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani el Can\u00f2drom i el seu director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Publiquem una carta que ens ha arribat signada per Ignasi Aball\u00ed (artista), Sergi Aguilar (artista), Rebeca Blanchard (galerista), Antoni Estrany (galerista), Florenci Gunt\u00edn (gestor cultural), Frederic Montorn\u00e9s (cr\u00edtic d\u2019art i curador d\u2019exposicions), Angels de la Mota (galerista), Alex Nogueras (galerista) i Gloria Picazo (directora del Centre d\u2019Art La Panera, Lleida) sobre la situaci\u00f3 del Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani, el Can\u00f2drom, i el seu director.<\/p>\n<h2>.<\/h2>\n<p><em>Benvolgut\/es Senyors\/es<\/p>\n<p>Davant la recent aparici\u00f3 en premsa de comentaris superficials sobre la situaci\u00f3 del Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani el Can\u00f2drom i el seu director, Moritz K\u00fcng, volem manifestar la nostra m\u00e9s profunda indignaci\u00f3 per la frivolitat amb que els nostres pol\u00edtics s&#8217;estan prenent aquest projecte, aix\u00ed com pel menyspreu cap als acords previs aconseguits amb el sector art\u00edstic en relaci\u00f3 a  la posta en funcionament d&#8217;aquest centre. Aquests acords consideraven adequat l&#8217;espai que s&#8217;havia adjudicat al Centre en el Can\u00f2drom i corroboraven el resultat del concurs internacional del que va sortir escollit un director a partir d&#8217;una elecci\u00f3 democr\u00e0tica, transparent i respectuosa amb el que es coneix com  el codi de bones pr\u00e0ctiques. Fet que, per cert, continua sense ser l&#8217;habitual.<\/p>\n<p>La sistem\u00e0tica i progressiva destrucci\u00f3 del patrimoni contemporani tant a Barcelona com a Catalunya aix\u00ed com la falta de consideraci\u00f3 cap a la figura d&#8217;un director a qui no se li permet exercir el c\u00e0rrec pel qual va ser seleccionat, ens situa una vegada m\u00e9s davant la impossibilitat de veure enriquida la nostra cultura art\u00edstica, refor\u00e7at el sistema que la nodreix amb noves i valentes iniciatives i convertit el nostre territori en aquest referent per a l&#8217;art contemporani pel qual tots lluitem i, certament, tots volem. Vost\u00e8s potser tamb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Entre el menyspreu dels nostres responsables pol\u00edtics cap a la idone\u00eftat d&#8217;un edifici consensuat pr\u00e8viament amb el sector art\u00edstic d&#8217;aquesta ciutat i susceptible de convertir-se en aquesta icona de contemporane\u00eftat que necessita Barcelona per establir amb el m\u00f3n una relaci\u00f3 de complicitat i el to sensacionalista i tendenci\u00f3s amb que alguns mitjans intenten desviar l&#8217;atenci\u00f3 cap a q\u00fcestions sup\u00e8rflues, mal explicades o falses, alhora que es talla una possible xarxa de relacions amb el MACBA, altres centres d&#8217;art i les galeries, es trunca la circulaci\u00f3 de l&#8217;actiu patrimonial que entre tots estem creant per estar presents en el circuit art\u00edstic, tant nacional com internacional.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Malgrat considerin que a hores d&#8217;ara s&#8217;hagi parlat prou d&#8217;aquest tema, no voldr\u00edem deixar passar l&#8217;ocasi\u00f3 de recordar-los el que ens indueix a manifestar les nostres reflexions:<\/p>\n<p>1) Sobre el Model de Centre d&#8217;Art Contemporani que volem: Kunsthalle.<\/p>\n<p>Durant l&#8217;estiu de 2008 el sector de les Arts visuals catalanes i algunes associacions d&#8217;\u00e0mbit nacional es van mobilitzar per la decisi\u00f3 del llavors Conseller de Cultura, Joan Manuel Tresserras, de reconvertir el Centre d&#8217;Art Santa M\u00f2nica en un Centre Cultural multidisciplinari i, tot obviant el codi de bones pr\u00e0ctiques, encarregar la seva direcci\u00f3 al Sr. Vicen\u00e7 Altai\u00f3. La pressi\u00f3 que, sobre els estaments pol\u00edtics, es va exercir en bloc des del sector art\u00edstic va obligar a la Generalitat i a l&#8217;Ajuntament a trobar la soluci\u00f3 que permet\u00e9s a Barcelona disposar com m\u00e9s aviat possible d&#8217;un Centre d&#8217;Art Contemporani d&#8217;estructura similar al model centre-europeu de &#8220;Kunsthalle&#8221;. De tots els espais oferts per l&#8217;Ajuntament el sector va considerar per unanimitat que el m\u00e9s adequat era el Can\u00f2drom. Un edifici per a la rehabilitaci\u00f3 del qual s&#8217;han invertit fins avui una suma de prop de 5 milions d&#8217;euros.<\/p>\n<p>2) Sobre la idone\u00eftat del Can\u00f2drom<\/p>\n<p>Davant la possibilitat de dotar Barcelona d&#8217;un centre d&#8217;art capa\u00e7 de dialogar amb altres estructures art\u00edstiques del context nacional i internacional, considerem fermament que l&#8217;espai del Can\u00f2drom, representa l&#8217;oportunitat d&#8217;endegar un projecte que, sent \u00fanic, contemporani, espec\u00edfic i innovador, situ\u00ef Barcelona i Catalunya en la primera l\u00ednia del pensament contemporani aplicat a les arts visuals. L&#8217;espai del Can\u00f2drom pot i ha de convertir-se en la punta de llan\u00e7a d&#8217;un projecte p\u00fablic desenvolupat al voltant d&#8217;una arquitectura \u00fanica i vision\u00e0ria, constru\u00eft sobre la base de discursos art\u00edstics radicalment contemporanis.<\/p>\n<p>3) Sobre el projecte de Moritz K\u00fcng<\/p>\n<p>Despr\u00e9s d&#8217;una llarga traject\u00f2ria com a director de l&#8217;\u00e0mbit de les arts visuals a De Singel (Anvers, B\u00e8lgica), Moritz K\u00fcng guanya el concurs p\u00fablic que es convoca per a la pla\u00e7a de director del Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani de Barcelona, el Can\u00f2drom. Considerant l&#8217;enorme potencial d&#8217;un espai pensat origin\u00e0riament per una funci\u00f3 l\u00fadica i ponderat per ser el millor exemple d&#8217;una enginyeria honesta, brillant, sostenible i \u00fatil, el projecte que presenta K\u00fcng planteja el desenvolupament d&#8217;un discurs sobre la base de quatre eixos: l&#8217;espai d&#8217;exposici\u00f3, l&#8217;espai de la xarxa, l&#8217;espai de la publicaci\u00f3 i l&#8217;espai sonor. Quatre espais per al desenvolupament d&#8217;un discurs teixit entorn el di\u00e0leg que, sense distinci\u00f3 ni discriminaci\u00f3, es pugui establir entre artistes locals, internacionals, emergents i consagrats.
