Alrededor, miles de viviendas se replican unas a otras en una explanada que se extiende hasta el r\u00edo, la frontera f\u00edsica, pol\u00edtica y mental con el vecino norte\u00f1o. Las unidades de viviendas son modestas y forman cuadr\u00edcula como los pisos de Carl Andr\u00e9. Dan pistas de vidas pautadas y marcadas por la rutina del trabajador fabril. Una de esas casas, en calle Puerto de Palos, fue comprada y demolida. Tirada abajo poco a poco, los obreros la devolvieron al polvo original. Aquel polvo de huesos y escombros fue puesto en circulaci\u00f3n por el circuito de las salas de arte. Teresa Margolles lo valor\u00f3 como <em>La promesa<\/em> (2012). <\/p>\n<p>El Centro de Arte 2 de Mayo de M\u00f3stoles inaugur\u00f3 el pasado 17 de febrero <em>Testigo<\/em>, una muestra del trabajo que la mexicana Teresa Margolles ha realizado los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en Ciudad Ju\u00e1rez. La exposici\u00f3n est\u00e1 curada por Mar\u00eda In\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez, e invita a adoptar una mirada de la violencia en el norte mexicano que en principio parece m\u00e1s distante e inocua que su trabajo anterior. <\/p>\n<p>En un arriesgado recorrido circular de un s\u00f3lo sentido, comenzamos viendo el \u00e1rbol <em>Testigo <\/em> (2013), acribillado de balas. M\u00e1s adelante, las 313 copias de las portadas del diario <em>PM<\/em> (2010) tapizan las paredes de titulares sobre los cuerpos de los muertos y las mujeres, generando una escenograf\u00eda de texto y silicona. Resaltan el cambio de valor que la muerte y los cuerpos experimentan al ser transferidos entre medios distintos. Un pasillo a oscuras amenizado con los <em>Sonidos de la muerte<\/em> (2008) desemboca en la vista frontal a <em>Esta finca no ser\u00e1 demolida<\/em> (2009-2013). <em>\u00bfC\u00f3mo salimos?<\/em> (2010) y <em>Entorno a la p\u00e9rdida<\/em> (2010-2013) nos interpelan a la cara, activando en el acto nuestra pregunta por la distancia entre la artista y su objeto de observaci\u00f3n. \u00bfLa ciudad? \u00bfLa violencia? \u00bfLas muertes? Terminamos con <em>La promesa<\/em>, ese muro hecho con la molienda de los escombros, tra\u00eddo desde otras salas de exposiciones, y al que se supone hemos de acercarnos y rascar con la palma de las manos. <\/p>\n<p>La vida del habitante de Ju\u00e1rez est\u00e1, en efecto, pautada y marcada por el ritmo de la cadena de producci\u00f3n. El uno de enero hizo veinte a\u00f1os de la entrada en vigor de NAFTA, el Tratado de Libre Comercio de Am\u00e9rica del Norte. Las sombras del tratado no son las de la selva. La violencia que abriga la libre circulaci\u00f3n de bienes reside en el muro entre clases que erige.
