We began 2018 with\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/magazine\/francesc-torres-caja-entropica-museo-los-objetos-perdidos\/\">Juanjo Santos<\/a>, who reviewed <em>the<\/em> exhibition of this winter \u2013 or one of them \u2013 <em>The Entropic Box<\/em>, curated by Francesc Torres at the Museu Nacional d&#8217;Art de Catalunya (MNAC).<\/p>\n<p>We speak of &#8216;archives&#8217;, but we also speak of ways of bringing things up, of expounding them, of recovering and storing them \u2026 and even of indigestions and rereadings. We listened in on a conversation between\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/magazine\/empacho-obsesion-y-otros-necesarios-males-archivo\/\">Maite Mu\u00f1oz and Alicia Escobio,<\/a>\u00a0in other words Vista Oral, but also on conversations with Antoni Herv\u00e0s, Enric Farr\u00e9s Duran and Hailey Loman; we discussed what was created at the Museu d&#8217;Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and the Los Angeles Contemporary Archive (LACA), and reviewed their obsessions and archive evils.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to the month&#8217;s contents at A*DESK,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/magazine\/la-vida-contribuciones-la-nube\/\">Anna Dot\u00a0<\/a>presented the ways in which we, na\u00efve users, generate archives and data on the Net. She described our unwitting tendency to &#8216;share&#8217; everything, the work of Antoni Muntadas, the collection that Alicia Framis keeps and makes public with <em>The Room of Forbidden Books<\/em> (2014) and the<em> Aids Anarchive<\/em> research project undertaken by Equipo Re (Aimar Arriola, Nancy Gar\u00edn and Linda Vald\u00e9s).<\/p>\n<p>In her turn,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/magazine\/archivo-viaje-al-imago-mundi-la-red\/\">Aymara Arreaza<\/a>\u00a0revealed the specific characteristics of digital archives (related to data storage, volatility and speed) in the\u00a0<em>Travel to My Website<\/em> project by Mario de Santamar\u00eda that certainly evokes travel.<\/p>\n<p>The month concluded with artist <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/magazine\/victor-marta-marcia-lorenzo-inga-gillian-brandon-etc\/\">Rub\u00e9n Grilo<\/a>, who reflected on the value of art starting from the idea of obsolescence (of archives, data, technologies).
