In the art world we are used to art practices that micmic and infiltrate all spheres of life (public and private). But sometimes it is healthy to take a step back and see what happens when things are exaggerated, just a little. The episode <em>Art Project<\/em> from <em>Portlandia<\/em> does just that.<\/p>\n<p><em>Portlandia<\/em> is a television series on the <em>Independent Film Channel<\/em>, that was released in January 2011. The series is set in Portland (Oregon) a setting that in principle is irrelevant that over time, with the sketches, becomes more and more loaded with content. <\/p>\n<p>In the episode <em>Art Project<\/em>, conceptual art and Portland are looked upon through a distorting mirror, where the image, however much it is exaggerated still remains faithful to reality.
