{"id":9704,"date":"2017-02-28T01:05:00","date_gmt":"2017-02-28T01:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/2017\/02\/28\/sex3486\/"},"modified":"2017-11-06T11:43:45","modified_gmt":"2017-11-06T11:43:45","slug":"sex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/a-desk.org\/en\/magazine\/sex\/","title":{"rendered":"Sex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There we were quietly celebrating sex and sexuality, our liberated wet dreams, our passionate encounters\u2026and we\u2019re almost knocked over by a bus.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out that in the same month we wanted, at A*DESK, to talk about sex from a celebratory point of view we discover that its perhaps not the moment for celebration. We thought it was important to bring to the forefront the articulating axes of thought surrounding us to situate it as a subject, but also to escape the typical polarity to which it is subjected either as the fruit of intimate, secret communion or the motive of contemporary struggles and flag waving. Where, after fear, does that leave the contact, with or without feeling?<\/p>\n<p>We consider there are many potentialities, some standard or foreseeable, others startling, others, the lesser ones, pathological, but to us it seemed relevant to set the tone in which a point of departure, emancipated from the limits we already know and unfortunately have to continue contemplating. There are odious illnesses, which that despite the recent good news, continue to spread and infect today, abuse continues to exist in unbalanced relationships as well as derogatory and disrespectful approaches to sexuality.<\/p>\n<p>And what is saddest (for lack of condition): there continue to exist invasive ways of understanding the world continue; an incapacity to understand alternate circumstances, not governed by the trends of discriminatory beliefs, to the tune of those who sustain them, some gods who are on the other hand often misinterpreted. It is still not the moment to recuperate the feeling of orgasmic joy and wave this flag, beyond whoever and whatever provokes you and how you work to provoke it.<\/p>\n<p>For this: Don\u2019t be fooled. If you&#8217;re born a man, as much as if you&#8217;re born a woman, be whatever you want to be.<\/p>\n<p>This month we&#8217;ve reckoned with <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/highlights\/X-EX-EXODO-1,3476.html\">Eloy Fern\u00e1ndez Porta<\/a> writing about the madness of stopping being gay; <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/highlights\/Interview-with-Frau-Diamanda.html\">Irina Mutt talking to Frau Diamanda<\/a>; <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/highlights\/Darkroom-Screen-room.html\">Virginia L\u00e1zaro<\/a>, who made her debut with us, writing a text about dark rooms, their genesis and evolution and finally \u2013 that was right at the beginning, <a href=\"http:\/\/a-desk.org\/highlights\/Sex-desires-utopias-arquitectures.html\">Montse Badia wrote about 1000 m2 of desire, architecture and sexuality at the CCCB.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the image illustrating this editor\u2019s column is one by <a href=\"http:\/\/ca2m.org\/en\/cabello-carceller\">Cabello Carceller,<\/a> currently at the CA2M, an exhibition well worth visiting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There we were quietly celebrating sex and sexuality, our liberated wet dreams, our passionate encounters\u2026and we\u2019re almost knocked over by a bus.
