At A*DESK we have also generated work for over one hundred professionals in culture, from small collaborations with reviews and classes, to more prolonged and intense collaborations.

At A*DESK we believe in the need for free and universal access to culture and knowledge. We want to carry on being independent, remaining open to more ideas and opinions. A*LIVE II 2024: ARCHITECTURE OF FRIENDSHIP

A*LIVE II 2024: ARCHITECTURE OF FRIENDSHIP

A*DESK public program, A*LIVE 2024, presents Architecture of Friendship, a collective project inspired by the notion of ecosystem and the value of interdependence, led by the Aragonese composer Santiago Latorre.

Architecture of Friendship suggests the construction of strong, lasting and meaningful relationships between people. It evokes the idea of building emotional and social connections. As well as the creation of a safe and welcoming space where individuals can share experiences, support each other and grow together. Architecture of Friendship as a metaphor, highlights the importance of collaboration, trust and commitment between the Spanish composer Santiago Latorre, the American multimedia artist Colin Self, the Spanish singer Nieves Arilla and the Colombian performer Atabey Mamasita. Their performances are essentially like an ecosystem where entities are intertwined in a web of interdependence.

This musical architecture, carefully organized with sensors, voices, lights, movements, sounds, images and vibrations, integrates with its environment in an organic way. The resulting project blurs the boundaries of individual authorship in search of a collective signature, finding in cooperation an extended dimension of care.

Connecting the group’s shared interest in building creative ecologies, non-hierarchical musical composition, and collectivity, the project emerges from a necessary practice of rest, healing, and care. The sequence of songs is offered as hinges to activate and exercise empathy, sensitive connections, to awaken hope and recharge enthusiasm, perhaps even to foster care between the familiar and the strange.

Architecture of Friendship works with different constellations, and for our event it will be performed by Santiago Latorre and Nieves Arilla.

The performance of Architecture of Friendship at La (2) de Apolo, November 10 at 20h is also the closing concert of MIRA Festival 2024. Buy tickets here.
