A*DESK has been offering since 2002 contents about criticism and contemporary art. A*DESK has become consolidated thanks to all those who have believed in the project, all those who have followed us, debating, participating and collaborating. Many people have collaborated with A*DESK, and continue to do so. Their efforts, knowledge and belief in the project are what make it grow internationally. At A*DESK we have also generated work for over one hundred professionals in culture, from small collaborations with reviews and classes, to more prolonged and intense collaborations.

At A*DESK we believe in the need for free and universal access to culture and knowledge. We want to carry on being independent, remaining open to more ideas and opinions. If you believe in A*DESK, we need your backing to be able to continue. You can now participate in the project by supporting it. You can choose how much you want to contribute to the project.

You can decide how much you want to bring to the project.

New book “Un saber vibrante. Conversaciones sobre arte y pedagogía”

Un saber vibrante. Conversaciones sobre arte y pedagogía (A vibrant knowledge. Conversations on art and pedagogy) is the third publication addressing themes of art and education published by Fundación Proa in Buenos Aires, this time in collaboration with RESET Plataforma and us at A*Desk. The publication features contributions from leading figures in the field. This book thus consolidates an editorial line dedicated to critically and reflectively exploring the intersection of art and pedagogy.

Un saber vibrante. Conversaciones sobre arte y pedagogía brings together the voices of some of the most prominent figures in the field of art and education in Latin America and Europe: Pablo Helguera, Sofía Olascoaga, Mônica Hoff, Ericka Flores, Ana Moreno Rebordinos, Sofía de Juan, Renata Cervetto, María Acaso, Sara Torres Vega, Mónica Amieva, and Emily Pringle. It also includes contributions from Rosario García Martínez (Fundación Proa-RESET), Víctor López Zumelzu, and Natalia Sosa Molina (RESET).

What potential do art and pedagogy initiatives have to transform cultural institutions? Can education departments push the boundaries of museums? How do research, archive management, and the production of critical texts influence this work?

Un saber vibrante. Conversaciones sobre arte y pedagogía invites readers to explore a selection of texts, discourses, and interventions that contribute to discussions and issues within the field of art and pedagogy in cultural institutions. On one hand, it compiles records from a series of conversations organized by the RESET collective at Fundación Proa; on the other, it offers a selection of essays published in A*Desk magazine (Barcelona).

The book weaves together key topics for those interested in researching the intersections of art and pedagogy, their impact, and their potential to shape cultural institutions in the contemporary world.

Available in free digital format here and soon in print at Librería Proa in Buenos Aires.
