A*DESK has been offering since 2002 contents about criticism and contemporary art. A*DESK has become consolidated thanks to all those who have believed in the project, all those who have followed us, debating, participating and collaborating. Many people have collaborated with A*DESK, and continue to do so. Their efforts, knowledge and belief in the project are what make it grow internationally. At A*DESK we have also generated work for over one hundred professionals in culture, from small collaborations with reviews and classes, to more prolonged and intense collaborations.

At A*DESK we believe in the need for free and universal access to culture and knowledge. We want to carry on being independent, remaining open to more ideas and opinions. Julián Cruz – Autor/a en A*Desk

Julián Cruz (Valladolid, 1989) is a visual artist and writer. He has exhibited both nationally —Galería Rafael Ortiz, ARCO, CA2M, LABoral, Circuitos, Injuve, Fundación Focus-Abengoa— as well as internationally —Maumau or Jacob Van Leeuwen—. He has collaborated in several projects, among which Proyecto Rampa, Secret Knots y NUDO, and also in lectures and workshops at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Madrid’s Universidad Complutense, Teatro Pradillo, MUSAC or La Casa Encendida. He has additionally produced texts for Campo de Relámpagos, Re-Visiones, Libros Walden, Can Felipa or Fundación Montemadrid. He is also the author of three books: “La risa flotante”, a study on the link between Friedrich Nietzsche’s work with contemporary art, “La academia de Marte” and “Sobre una tarima negra”, both in partnership with Luis Cruz Hernández.
