A*DESK has been offering since 2002 contents about criticism and contemporary art. A*DESK has become consolidated thanks to all those who have believed in the project, all those who have followed us, debating, participating and collaborating. Many people have collaborated with A*DESK, and continue to do so. Their efforts, knowledge and belief in the project are what make it grow internationally. At A*DESK we have also generated work for over one hundred professionals in culture, from small collaborations with reviews and classes, to more prolonged and intense collaborations.

At A*DESK we believe in the need for free and universal access to culture and knowledge. We want to carry on being independent, remaining open to more ideas and opinions. If you believe in A*DESK, we need your backing to be able to continue. You can now participate in the project by supporting it. You can choose how much you want to contribute to the project.

Los buenos se van

En pocas ocasiones un proyecto de éxito se para antes de que caiga. La revista ramona (debería ser un referente para todos) decide desaparecer aún estando en plena forma. Ha significado un espacio de discusión magnífico, un lugar para la presentación y creación de teoría y crítica para el arte contemporáneo desde Argentina. 100 números, con algunos especiales antológicos, con textos de calidad y decisiones editoriales que no se abandonan. Y se va, ramona se va.

Seguramente es bueno: mejor no convertirse en una sombra de lo que se era, mejor no perder de vista el mundo que te rodea, mejor ser críticos con nosotros mismos y ser capaces de evaluar las posibilidades para dar las mejores respuestas. Mejor no apoltronarse ni olvidar los auténticos objetivos: los contenidos. Evidentemente, en este párrafo no hablamos de ramona sino de otros.

En este número de A*DESK presentamos una entrevista corta de Marti Manen a Guadalupe Maradei de ramona, una lectura cruzada entre España y Argentina sobre la situación cultural hoy de la mano de Desirée Vidal, Marcela Römer nos habla de gestión cultural desde Argentina y Claudio Iglesias analiza el cocktail compuesto por globalización, nacionalismo y latinoamérica a partir de las exposiciones “La era de la discrepancia” y “Caminos de la vanguardia cubana”.

Y a ramona le damos las gracias.

A*DESK is a critical platform focused on publishing, training, experimentation, communication and dissemination in relation to contemporary culture and art, which is defined by transversality. The starting point is contemporary art, because that is where we come from and this awareness allows us to go much further, to incorporate other disciplines and forms of thought in order debate issues that are relevant and urgent for understanding our present.
